September 14, 20214 yr New horror movie “Malignant” is worth it for the third act. Holy shit. Not super scary for you horror movie wimps, but a pretty crazy ride towards the end.

September 23, 20214 yr Not planning on reading all 14 pages of this, so siap, but does HBO Max's content pretty much just mirror what's available on HBO when you subscribe through a cable provider? If not, what are the differences?

If not, what are the differences? If I had to qualify it, I'd say it has a shit-ton of content. Everything from the remastered Babylon 5 to all of the series they've pumped out over the years. And a shit-ton of Warner Brother's content, Hanna Barbara's back catalog, Cartoon Network stuff, etc., etc. It's worth it, especially at $10 a month (if you do the yearly thing).

September 27, 20214 yr File under "new" to me... but Ghosts is a pretty charming British show available for a quick binge.

September 28, 20214 yr I watched some of that and as usual their takes are way too long. Even at 1.25x. I liked Stuckmann’s take better: the movie is horror/camp but no one gets it because no one does camp any more.

Somehow, from the Red River to the Hill Country, you travel through deserts and rocky mountains. Why not just set it somewhere that the filming location geography is appropriate?

Why not just set it somewhere that the filming location geography is appropriate?I just drove that route from Glen Rose to Hamilton along 281. It was not unlike the prairies you see in the movie. I’m guessing there were less cedar trees back then to limit dust.Even drove a little through Erath county. The convenient peaks right outside Dallas might be an issue.
October 1, 20214 yr Woodstock 99. I was 20 and some friends talked about going. Glad we didn't. What a fuckin mess.

We enjoyed the first season (seemed like Arrested Development meets Always Sunny, complete with a poor man's Jason Bateman and Kaitlyn Olson) but the first two episodes of season two was almost like a completely different show and we dropped it. I don't know if they switched the writers, or the unexpected popularity of S1 among gay people or some other focus group bullshit clouded their judgment, but it was just a tawdry gay soap opera. Plus I really can't stand Molly Shannon. She's almost always well-cast, and great at playing her roles, but I generally don't find them to be entertaining.

October 19, 20214 yr The doc on Gwen Shamblin and the Remnant church in TN is holy shit. It is a cult. And these people are NUTS.
November 27, 20214 yr so if you want to have a mid-90s flashback to when we were trying to get laid by showing the chick we were interested in that we were cool and listened to Alanis Morissette. (33 million of us bought the album- dont act like you didnt at least hear the songs) They have the Music Box documentary of Jagged. i enjoyed it. although god damn she was fucking exploited from the age of 11 onward.
November 28, 20214 yr I watched The Flight Attendant, it started off promising, but in the end they talk like teenage girls, but they're in their 30s. Felt like they had something good, but couldn't hold it together for all 8 episodes. Also the black guy was the limo driver in Die Hard, but how can that be? He hasn't aged at all.
December 3, 20214 yr Got caught up on Doom Patrol S3. I've never done LSD/acid, but I feel like I'm on an acid trip while watching this show. It's so far out there. Excellent stuff.

December 3, 20214 yr Sex Lives of College Girls, while the name makes its sound terrible or a half porn it’s neither. I was really surprised at how good this show is actually. It does a great job of building the characters and I don’t think they could have cast any of the roles better. Yea it’s kinda a predictable fun college show but it’s a pretty funny and a fun watch, it’s filmed and acted much better than I expected. It will definitely keep you entertained atleast.

I will say though that the the chick who play kimberly is timothe chalamet's sister and for the love of anything that is holy i can't get past his face on her body with her massive cans. it's like they're twins but with a huge rack.
