Summer approaches. I have a tv room with its own AC zone and it gets hot AF since it is a "bonus room" in the attic. If I turn it off it gets to 90 up here.

Anyhow, looking for an app based temp control. Something to simply turn the air down. Not monitor motion or whatever shit Nest does, just dial it down on my 30 minute commute home so it isn't equator Temps for my first 45 minutes in my dungeon.

I use a low end Honeywell wifi connected thermostat for a remote property.  Worked well for us for about 7-8 years at less than $100.  It is also programmable, but we don't use that feature.  We leave AC off while not there, turn on while on the road to there.

Probably at HD and Amazon.

I’ve been happy with my Ecobee. I have it integrated with IFTTT and Griddy.

i have a ecobee for our upstairs thermostat.  replaced a old school round honeywell.  works great and you can set up any schedules you want at any temp.  the app is easy to use to program it on your phone.

I use sensi. It's ok

I have sensi and it works very well.

I have both Sensi and Honeywell and both work ok. Honeywell I was having Wifi drop issues, but those seem to have gone away now.

Sensi has been simple and working right out of the box. (Got Sensi looking for replacement from the Honeywell one)
