January 31, 20214 yr 3-3 right now. All coming down to a 3rd set in Peytons match. So far Both players traded breaks. On serve now Edited January 31, 20214 yr by perfectchaos007
January 31, 20214 yr Texas def. OUsux 4-3! We played like crap but still won. We are not an indoor team lol
January 31, 20214 yr Good road test for this heavy freshmen lineup. I expect Labrana to be playing singles next week.
February 3, 20214 yr ITA indoor draws came out. Texas has a good draw- drawing the lowest ranked team Northwestern in the opening round and also being on the opposite side of number 1 ranked UNC Like the singles match up against NW but alas...the indoor courts against a Big 10 team always throws a wrench in things
February 3, 20214 yr As always, If we win 2 out of 3 of our matches at the ITA indoors it will be a success. Draw is half the size it normally is due to Covid so it’s a big deal we even qualified
February 6, 20214 yr Stearns sat out doubles today which allowed Perez-Mur to see her first action of the season. Texas leads NW 1-0 after doubles

February 6, 20214 yr Felt bad for Rapolu, who was at Match point when Stearns clinched. Would have been Rapolu's first win at line 5.
February 7, 20214 yr Doubles Point Won! That's a big point. UCLA matches Texas pound for pound in the singles lineup (actually may be favored for the majority of the singles)
February 7, 20214 yr We are not an indoor team! UNC will be heavily favored in the finals because they are stacked lines 1-6 but I’m not counting us out.
February 8, 20214 yr We’re getting a late start but UCLA and Pepperdine finally finished so we’ll start our match shortly
February 8, 20214 yr Texas takes the doubles point! UNC is stacked in singles, but if we can find away to win 3 out of 6, we’ll be ITA indoor tournament champs Edited February 8, 20214 yr by perfectchaos007
February 8, 20214 yr Good to see the 3 line coming thru today! Anna and Fernanda probably could have won their match too if they were allowed to finish out (Fernanda got pegged in the face and she had to take an injury timeout)

Switched Lulu and Anna around likely cuz Anna hasn't been competitive in any of her indoor matches this weekend. Also pulled Rapolu out and moved Collins and Labrana up. Collins has a win against Makenna Jones in December. Edited February 8, 20214 yr by Aleemay

Nah immediately when Anna tied it at 5-5 the scoreboard immediately gave it to Texas Bit preemptive. But Anna won the next two games But she pulled it out in the end. Wore her opponent's forehand down

February 8, 20214 yr Labrana lost after being up a break in the third. All comes down to chavatipon who was up a break in the third but is now down a break. Not ideal

February 8, 20214 yr At least this collapse was for the ITA tournament and not for an NCAA title. What a frustrating loss though, knowing they had the #1 team on the ropes the entire night with chances to finish them off on multiple courts and we couldn’t finish
February 27, 20214 yr Won the doubles point against UCF. Pretty happy with how the team is playing with doubles this year. Should see no more mix and matching of the doubles lineups that we've been seeing the last 5 years in the middle of the season. UCF next to Pepperdine is one of the best mid major teams in the nation. Excited to see what singles bring.
February 27, 20214 yr 4-0 for the Horns and looks like the remaining matches were also about to be Horn victories too. A big win- ITA is still unsure whether to do computer rankings this season
March 6, 20214 yr Texas def. Baylor 6-1. We are now 2-0 against Baylor this season. The 3rd time we play them will count as a conference match.

March 12, 20214 yr Our morning match against TXST has been cancelled as I I thought it would be. We'll just be playing WVU, which is our conference opener. Never made sense to play a non-conference match the same day as a conference match (even if WVU is bad)
March 19, 20214 yr OKST @ Texas tomorrow on LHN at 11am. OKST is probably the 3rd or 4th best team in the conference. Sucks that the first televised match of the season is on a weekday morning. I'll set my DVR.

March 19, 20214 yr OK State is also under ranked as they played the first part of their season with a bunch of players in quarantine

March 22, 20214 yr 5 of the 6 women in our singles lineup were freshmen. If these freshmen stick around for 3 more years we'll be a national title contender for the next few years.

Six straight Big 12 titles, Two national champs, Two national runner ups, etc. Patty Fendick Mccain would have a top 10 team every 4-5 years or so (fun fact her daughter is on the UTSA team Texas beat this year)..... March 24, 20214 yr Georgia might be just as good as we are. Sucks that we’ll have to go through both them and UNC for the title. We have the capability though
March 28, 20214 yr We play #7 Baylor tomorrow for the third time this season. This one counts as a conference match though. This match is the defacto Big 12 regular season championship.
March 28, 20214 yr Texas takes the doubles point! When Chavatipon didn't play yesterday against Rice, I assumed it was a coaches decision to rest her. She's still not in the lineup today so she's either injured or has covid. Labrana and Rapolu will both play singles
