Surly geniuses...I am thinking of buying a boat.  Mostly for fishing but also for family outings.  Not much of a skier but would like to be able to pull a tube...  Thinking about a tri-toon.  Looking for recommendations??  Also, budget is +/- 22K.  Hope you guys can help?!

probably not going to get a tri-toon for that [rice unless it is a used older one

70HP+ will be able to pull a tube easily maybe even 60HP 90 or more will probably get a capable, not-fat, teen up on a slalom ski

trolling motor extra

Benningtons are at the top of the line

trolling motor extra

those are all rigged with Yamaha, buy American is better and that = Mercury, but Bennington does not offer Mercury I don't think

all outboards in the 45HP to 150HP are reliable, but the Mercury are newer technology and better fuel economy

If you are on a lake with a boat club, maybe look into it. $22k should cover 5-6 years of fees, you'll be in new boats all the time, have more variety, and have no maintance or dock fees. Trade off is less flexibility.
