Right.  And generally the 5-8 seeds in the Easter Conference have been shitty for the last 20 years or so, especially compared to the Western Conference.

Some amazing stats this decade:

2010- All 8 WC playoff teams won at least 50 games

2011: WC 8 seed had 46 wins, EC 5 seed had 44 wins

2012: 8 seed in West had a 46-36 record. 8 seed in East was 37-45

2013 - 5 seed Memphis would have been 2 seed in East

2014 playoffs - 7 teams in the WC with 50+ wins. The 8 seed was Dallas with a 49-33 record, which would have been good enough to be the # 3 seed in the East

2015 playoffs - 7 teams in the WC with 50+ wins. The 6 seed was SA with 55 wins, which would have been the #2 seed in the EC.

2017 playoffs - the 5 seed Utah Jazz had the same record as Lebron's 2 seed Cavs

The East has sucked for more than two decades.  Simply no depth, it's why folks are pushing for top 16 teams regardless of conference.  If Lebron played in the West, he almost certainly has less Finals appearances and may have less rings.  Not his fault, so I'm not blaming him, it's simply an observation.

According to the TNT crew, game 4 is a "must-win" for the Cavs, but also for the Pacers. Who knew?

That's 5D chess by JR. No way he gets a shot at that 3 without the foul.

Looks like the magic number for LeBron bench time in the first half is... 24 seconds.

If you ever want to know how generous the NBA currently is on its assist tallying: Jeff Green got an assist on that play for inbounding to a guy 70 feet from the basket, who then took a dribble.

lebron out of the game and the cavs have a 13 point lead.  how long does he sit and what is their lead when he comes back in?

pretty weak ass foul call there deprives oladipo of a highlight reel block of lebron.

All in all, not a bad half from the Pacers. The Cavs have yet to show they can play a full 48 this series.

The decline of Kevin Love has been sad to watch.

There's just no way LeBron can keep this up for an entire series.

He is absolutely gassed.

I would say Lue needs to be fired in the offseason, but gotta keep him around if/when Lebron leaves for the inevitable tank.

That’s an awful call to give Lebron a timeout

LeBron needed just a sliver of help in the fourth quarter, and he got it from Korver.

Just now, Artificial Iverson said:
