Possibly the most interesting matchup of the first round. Who ya got?

OKC in 7.   Both winning one on the other team's floor

As a Rockets fan, I can't believe I'm rooting for the Jazz. BoBigRed from TOS would totally be disappointed in me.

Ricky Rubio should stop shooting. Focus on creating assists.

Paul George is the truth.

Not going to beat OKC on their court when they're shooting like this.

Mitchell and Adams should be pulled. No reason to risk things.

If Philly strikes out on Lebron, they should offer the max to PG 13.  In many ways, PG 13 fits better with the Philly roster (and more specifically next to Ben Simmons) than Lebron anyway.

troof

There are so many teams that would be better with lebron or pg13 that I’m starting to think the lakers get both of them or neither of them. Not even Lebron can look at that roster and say “I can carry them to the finals.” Which for him is basically the hurdle that needs to be jumped to get his services. From there, the lakers aren’t guaranteed to even be a playoff team with just pg13.

i don’t think the lakers are positioned very well for top free agents other than having money free and being in LAs market. Without lebron calling up some friends, or a group of 2-3 guys saying they want to play together, I just don’t see how they put together a plan they can sell to free agents other than “come to la. We’re the lakers.”

Hope Adams isnt' terribly injured...

It takes a lot to hurt that man.

Prob has a good career in the UFC if he couldn't dunk a basketball

Probably just a little shoulder tweak but hopefully nothing that will severely limit him. I haven’t seen anything about it today.

Thunder needs another dose of "Playoff P" (his self-adorned nick name), to get hot in game 2:

Westbrook had been pretty quiet for a quarter and a half.

Mitchell is a beast. Playoff P needs a strong finish.

Mitchell starting to assert himself.

Yep. The more I watch, the easier it is to see why he’s kind of a big deal.

Honestly, using timeouts to get around the 8 second rule is such a bullshit loophole.

Melo is just plain bad.

Love watching him fade away with his hand still in the air on a shot that never looked good.

The Thunder officially has what is known as a non-offensive offense...

holy shit, that shot chart

Sticking with this.  Not gonna knee jerk.

It's crazy how good they can be and how bad they can be.  From a momentum standpoint they really need to win the next one in Utah or game 4 will be incredibly tough to escape with a win.

fell asleep at half time, but from what i saw, when Adams sat because of foul trouble is when it all went wrong.  Denver took over and never relinquished the paint.  I think Golbert and Favor had 8 reb a piece by the half.

Thunder offense relies on Westbrook to bring disruption, and also a ton of Westbrook-Adams PNR.  Neither was available.

Love the hell out of Jerami Grant and Patterson as backup bigs - and Grant still did his job dutifully on the offensive side - but they were no replacement.

Playoff P looked like Playoff P in the first half though with the crazy bank shots and prayer foul-finishes.  Looks like it all went quiet in H2

Same here. And it's not that I think OKC would win the series -- I would just rather not have to watch them play basketball, which is painful to watch at times.

Well, since Paul George might be heading out of OKC the same as former Thunder star Kevin Durant after this season, I wondered "who did it better"..?

I gotta lean with KD...

Coordinated crowd t-shirts look cool when everyone actually wears them.

Westbrook is playing at a very high level right now.

Next two possessions after I typed that: bricked 3, turnover on fast break.
