Or just let the dog eat them on the patio?

I have zero smoker/grill options due to the rona, so was checking in for any advice on cooking baby back ribs in the oven.

Like I told the gender fluid person in Boys Town, Ive never done this before.

Plenty of recipes out there for "restaurant style baby baby ribs." Made some a few weeks ago and they were great.d4c5738dd1ce7585f44ede3fce9c9c52.jpg

You have a probe thermometer?  If so, set your oven on 225 (or its lowest setting) put the probe in the middle of the oven in some foil or on a clip for like an hour and see what temperature it is actually maintaining.  I would also consider brining.

Just do what you have been and give the bone(s) to your neighbor

this right here and update with pix

If you are going to resort to oven cooked ribs, just have Chili's delivered.

A good rub.

Wrap tightly with foil.

Low and slow.

Did mine at 250 for 4 hours.

Remove foil and brush with sauce if desired.

Broil until sauce caramelizes.

Boom !

If I don't smoke I do the following for a pack(3 racks) from Costco.  Fills up the oven so cook time may adjust with smaller amounts.

Salt, pepper and garlic both sides.

425 for 20 min bottom up

brush  with preferred sauce, then flip brush top

350 for 30 min

brush again

350 for 30 min

nice and tender with still some tooth.

This is what I do.  At 250 or even 225 you basically can't overcook.  At least 2 hours needed though.

I’ve done them in my instant pot and then finished them with a broil in the oven. A lot quicker.

He does, but that's for the neighbor, not for cooking

I love that when this thread gets bumped on the main page it says "Recs for oven cooked baby"

I just put a simple rub on some today for the oven tomorrow. Brown sugar, salt, pepper, smoked paprika. Will bake at 275 for 2 1/2 hours.
