Looking to buy a refurbished or used unlocked iPhone 6 in the Austin area.   I'm having a hard time finding a storefront with one.  On-line isn't a consideration for this purchase.  This is for someone visiting from Sudan and this is on his shopping list.  Anyone have an idea other than craigslist?  Thanks!

I'd recommend Facebook Marketplace.

I bought an iPhone 6s (64gb) recently in a different city. I've checked in a few different cities and there are always some iPhone 6 & iPhone 6s phones for sale.

Most of those are unlocked, because it's been 2+ years since the 6s came out, but don't get a former Verizon or Sprint model. You will need a former AT&T or T-Mobile phone. (Perhaps Cricket wireless will work as well.)

I would also see if the guy can get a battery replacement for $29 before leaving town, because that battery should be pretty crappy.

Here's the link about the battery replacement announcement: https://www.apple.com/iphone-battery-and-performance/

A link in that explanation takes you to the Apple site for information to come. Then looking up battery replacement, you are recommended to go to this link and look up Genius Bar. https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

Check Swappa and see if a local shop has one listed.

Thanks but ended up getting a 6s plus off of facebook marketplace for $200.  Like new as far as I could tell.  Thanks again.

I should have an extra 6. It is AT&T service. Would that help? How much?
