There’s easily one more win out there and even 7-5 and a “youth movement” is a different sell than 5-7 in terms of transfer hemorrhage. You’d lose some of these total mercs but it wouldn’t be the crazy number going on one.  Agreed on Petrino. This hire has all of the downside with little upside, he’s getting paid and doesn’t give AF.  I expect “Chief”-like results on the field, a step up from total incompetence that gives the Kool-Aid drinkers hope but nothing to really move beyond middle of the pack. He’s not a genius anymore, there will be low-effort, and he’ll be worse in terms of locker room culture.Â

If you interview for an C-suite level job and you disagree with the CEO in the interview over your level of responsibilities, you walk away. The CEO comes back and says “I’ve changed, baby”….. you know he’s gonna be unhappy and looking to meddle from day one.  You only take that job if the money is awesome and you absolutely do not care about the outcome or your future opportunities when things go bad. Bobby! Come on down! Â
January 10, 20232 yr It tracks with the way we often do business, getting the Brits to do something we want to do on a smaller scale first. And I Â am sure the Poles are brokering a lot of this stuff.

Kliff is 43 for what it's worth which seems insane to me.

You really don't need your OC being a stud recruiter. An elite OC is a positive to recruiting even if he never recruits a single player. Players will be drawn to the offense. Norm Chow wasn't doing any recruiting at USC. Position coaches and staff can carry that water.

Yep, the position coaches doing the hard work can just bring them by Koach Kool’s office, he tells a few war stories about the guys he coached in the league and what it’s like to be there.  Temperamentally, he’s a better fit for NCAA.Â
