Few episodes in on the Australia series - woof, it's bad.  How do you tap out in the first few days.

I tried to watch the 1st season but was very disappointed when I found out that the biggest threat was the Tasmanian Devil ...an animal which has never killed a human.

The show is fun because of the danger.  Remove that and it's boring as hell.

And then put them in a cold swamp where there's almost no food to top it off.  And make sure there are really dumb fishing regs that make it even harder for them to catch what little there is.

That’s my issue with the cold climes.  It’s basically a race for fat, and then outlasting the other starving players.  I’d rather it be a set time and survivors split the pot.  Say 75-90 days.

Australia is very limited on what can be hunted or not.  Most things are protected for natives.

Speaking of, I was wondering why nobody spoke of killing a kangaroo on this season's Last One Standing.  I was under the impression that they were basically considered large rats in Australia.  Quick search shows only specific hunters with a specific license can hunt them.

I watch Australian cooking shows and they eat a lot of kangaroo.

The Great Karoo KOs its first victim on day 4.

Australia went back-to-back with Africa.

Yeah, the guy from Texas also looks like he's been out there for a month and a half already.

Totally get your point.  However, one of the challenges and charm of the show is the not knowing when it may end for the contestants.  If you give an end date you remove a ton of that issue.  It is infinitely easier to steel yourself for a final few days if you know the end is near.  Having no idea how long someone else might endure is what makes the show so interesting.

Forgot about this show. Not surprised that first dude left at all.

I've finally come around to wanting Corrine to close the deal and win in the Australian series.  As far as the African location, I'd be good with Nathan or Baha.

The Africa crew is dwindling quickly.  I don’t really like any of these fucks anyway.

My girl Kelsey is still kicking.

The cheese might be starting to slip off her cracker.  In fairness her "weight loss commercial" was pretty funny.    Nathan has worked his ass off, think he wins.

Corrinne on the Aussie version still gets my vote.

African series has a winner.....

Spoiler

Nathan claims the money.  Kelsey gave him a run for the top spot.  She's good in my book.

Corrine what can you say?  She cracks me up, no doubt about her mental fortitude.  Best season of the Aussie version to date. Any of the last 3 were deserving to win.  Winner is ..

Spoiler

Shay.  Did you see what he ate during his time out there?  Dayum.  Humble and deserving.
