In addition to Aurora, the state is also playing host to Ford / Argo, Uber, self-driving truck startup TuSimple, and Waymo, as well as a remote-operated driverless shuttle in service at Texas A&M University. AV startup Drive.ai also operated in the Dallas region before going bust and getting acquired by Apple.
July 21, 20205 yr I rode a self-driving Uber in Vegas last December, it worked pretty well but the vehicle tenders in the car said it was all hand-built to work on the strip and they didn't (at the time) have a good way to scale out to other cities. Interested to see how it goes
