August 5, 20205 yr Gamble’s quote is at least sensical and profound in its own way. I think the Indians social media guy was just having a stroke.

August 5, 20205 yr Scherzer too apparently. Pitched 1 inning then was removed. Another one bites the dust
August 6, 20205 yr A phrase I never expected to hear this season “Sandoval with an infield hit.”. 2020, weird shit, man.

When I was living in Africa it seemed like the Tigers were always playing the only game that came on at a decent hour over there so I got had to watch a shit ton of their games in those days. Liked him a lot back then and happy to see him with a good start this season.
August 6, 20205 yr Hell of a throw by the left fielder Taylor of the Dodgers to throw out the tying runner for the Padres at home plate and preserve the win for LA. Edited August 6, 20205 yr by mdmost
August 6, 20205 yr Awesome ending to the Dodgers v Padres. Play at the plate to tie, he is....OUT! Dodgers win 7-6.
August 6, 20205 yr Hell of a game in San Diego. Still fuck the Dodgers. Padres got a good young squad coming on though,

August 6, 20205 yr 7-2 road trip, and we still are struggling with some of our boppers. Bellinger hitting .170, Muncy hitting .176, and Turner hitting .235. Get those guys going and it’s lights out on the west...again.

August 6, 20205 yr Might be an unpopular opinion, but I like the 7 inning double headers. I had the Marlins game on in the background yesterday and I didn’t feel like it took anything away from the game. Double headers are weird to begin with. Seems like you should try to shorten it as much as possible without ruining the integrity of the game. Also, I don’t hate this extra inning rule as much as I thought I would, but I would hate it a lot less if they started it in the 11th or 12th inning. Make the 10th inning normal baseball, and put the runner on 2nd starting in the 11th. Kinda like college football version of OT for MLB.

August 6, 20205 yr Author 3-run yack by Sano in top 1. They’ll be 11-2 after this one, Pitt a stellar 2-11.
August 6, 20205 yr Other than the MIA & STL outbreaks, has a single MLB player been ruled out with COVID since the regular season began? USA Today tracker shows none since July 22. Votto and Moustakas had concerns but turned out negative. Teams don't have to disclose names, but it would probably leak after a few days.
August 6, 20205 yr Who would have guessed that 2 weeks in the Marlins would have the best record in baseball? Edited August 6, 20205 yr by clapclapclap *shared with the Cubs
August 6, 20205 yr Author CG, 4 H, ER, 0 BB, 10 K for Dylan Bundy. Balt never got a lot of that from him.
August 7, 20205 yr Yelich just hit inside the park HR against the Chi SoxLol more like Eloy gave him an inside the park homer. What in the hell was he doing lol
August 7, 20205 yr Typically not horribly missing the ball and then ending up like a tuna in a fishing net
August 7, 20205 yr that probably should have been ruled a ground rule double, but it was fun to watch either way.
August 7, 20205 yr MLB announced tonight that the Phillies and Marlins will play a 7 game series in 5 days.
August 7, 20205 yr Guess I shouldn't have tempted fate with my post yesterday, apologies (although it's Cards again so the question is still valid)
