Corey Seager just hit his 10th and 11th.  And he may be our 4th best player.  The Dodgers are so far ahead of everyone else.  And yes, I know we hav failed miserably,  but we do have the best team now.

Dodgers lost their first series of the season.

Not joking, for some reason I had a dream last night that the Dodgers lost in the first round of the playoffs. I’m bookmarking this post to see if I’m a mystic.

What a coincidence. I had a dream the yankees got swept by the orioles & are now in 3rd place.

Apparently Dee Strange-Gordon just got married. That really threw me off when I saw that.

10 runs, 5 hits, 4 walks, 1 error culminating in a grand slam, all before the 2nd out was recorded.  But you know what they say, those HRs can be rally killers.  After the grand slam, the next two were retired in order to end the inning.

I fucking hate baseball. If the Yankees miss the playoffs heads will roll. Or at least should roll.

Kris Bryant is the only player in baseball history to win college player of the year, Minors POY, MLB ROY, and MLB MVP, and he did all of that in a span of four consecutive years. KB was supposed to be the Bird to Mike Trout's Magic, and now he's...garbage. He probably shouldn't even be an every day player on a good team. He has the fifth worst OPS in baseball and is batting .108 on breaking pitches. WTF happened here?

1.  All I know is that even the best hitters can't hit worth shit if they have hand/wrist injuries.

2.  Remember the furor when they delayed calling him up to manipulate his free agency clock?  Do they even tender him next season now?

Chris Davis began this year with a .152/.173/.184 slash and no homers in 52 trips to the plate before landing on the shelf with a left knee injury.

Noted offensive juggernaut Jose Iglesias’ BA is higher than CD’s OPS, yikes.

Teoscar Hernandez was quietly having an MVP-type year. Really sucks that he's probably done for the year. Jays have been hit hard between losing him and Bichette.

Marlins are 19-18.
I suck at math...is that better than the Yankees?
The Yankees are 21-21. So are the Giants.
Update: The Giants just won, so I believe that means they have a better record than the Yankees. Someone please check my math and confirm!

Luis Urias just made one of the best throws i've ever seen. Brooks Robinson stuff. Will post video when i find it.

while a good play, there is no way that is one of the best throws you have ever seen

Sometimes I get confused on which one is Derka and which one is spystud, but not that time.

Well a rough 5 innings. Scoreless first.

swanson is the only starter without an rbi but he has scored 4 times in 5 PAs ...in 6 innings.

25 runs on 19 hits is efficient offense. 5 braves have homered.

random thought(s): i want to see a hitter do something like two 3-HR games in one series or something. that would be cool. is there a place to go to look up stats like that? like "fewest days between 3-HR games" or something like that.

shouts out Adam Duvall.

29-9.  One more inning to go for 30

Lame, Braves go down scoreless in the 8th

Bet the Nationals heavy tomorrow night.

For me it's Williams's changeup. It's basically an unhittable screwball. It's been put into play *once* this year, a groundout by Francisco Lindor. It's Pedro levels of nasty.

Bryse Wilson recorded a 4-inning save for the Braves in that 29-9 game tonight

I don’t think there is a single reliever on the Astros that could pull that off right now

According to STATS, Duvall is the first player in history to homer with one man on, two men on and the bases loaded, in that order, in a game. He is also just the second player in NL history to have two three-homer games within 10 days of each other, joining the Cardinals' Johnny Mize who accomplished the feat on July 13 and 20, 1938. Duvall is also the first player in the Majors to ever have two such games in the same September.

Someone needs to ask all the whiny bitches from a few weeks ago what the actual difference between Duvall’s GS up 25-9 on a 1-0 and Tatis’ on a 3-0 really is.

This might be the last straw for West. Even his fellow umpires and union representatives  have to be embarrassed. What a joke of a person.

I don't disagree with any of the Joe West hate from anyone. But Hunter Wendelstet initiated this bullshit
