Altuve's home runs are half our runs scored in these 3 games.

How many runs have scored on his errors? The number could grow this inning. It’s inexcusable.

And his error led to 3/4 of their runs scored in Game 2.

Hitting and pitching can come and go but defense should be steady. Because we’ve been excellent on D all year makes this performance even more frustrating.

I’m stupid. Why was that not an infield fly?

because no one was going to catch it I guess

maybe these fuckheads should stop sticking their hands in the path of the pitch

Bullshit. If you hold your bat in an unorthodox manner, hand should be part of the bat.

Series is over anyway.  Errors make the difference.

Just not our series. I am impressed that we made it as far as we did. Very impressed with the young pitching this series, we just couldn’t count on the ones that we were supposed to be able to count on.

Wasn't that two batters in a row hit by pitches they initially intended to swing at my putting their hands in the "zone?"

Welp. We over achieved getting to this point. Didn’t think we’d go down like this though.

Would rather just get blown out really.

Are you sure? Wasn’t over everyone’s head? Can’t rewind so asking

Popped up bunt doesn’t equal an infield fly.  Infield fly also has to be easily playable, which that wasn’t.

ETA: Just checked the rule and bunt attempts are specifically exempted from the infield fly rule.

Errors make the difference.

Lack of hitting and Paredes absolutely choking are just as big.  4 runs in 2.6 games ain't gonna cut it.

I have no doubt that the Rays are going to score at least 3 more runs here.

on 1 hit
