He only threw 8 pitches

Kind of feel like they should do this during the regular regular seasons. Saturday or Sunday afternoon 7 inning double headers. You can probably get games on TV in an afternoon. Saturday triple header on NBC followed by a Sunday triple header on ABC or ESPN.

Only when we win. I’ll take it today. +rep

Postponed

Thought for sure that was going to say astros organization after not playing for 3 straight days....maybe that news doesnt come until next week.

A week before we play them again.

8 games in Oakland

So in the past 4 days, the Astros have had games postponed for hurricane, protest and Covid. These are interesting times.

I figured Manfred would reschedule the protest game in Oakland but we got there eventually

The prices seem a little low but I’d make trade #1 and #3, today
I didn't read that far, couldn't stop laughing at "once Osuna and Peacock rejoin Pressly..."

Anyone who thinks Osuna is coming back this season and pitching effectively is out of touch with reality.

The only trade we need to make for this season is for a set-up man in the bullpen. The outfield and DH are fine. Next year, we’ll probably need an outfielder but should address that in free agency.

Good thing we have a scheduled off day tomorrow.  We're going to go 6 days only playing the DH yesterday.

FA outfielders are pretty shitty unless we are signing Springer and Brantley....or paying a fuck ton for Castellanos.

If James and Toro can be flipped for a decent player, do it

For the game switched to OAK, the Astros still get to play as the home team and bat in the bottom of the inning, right?

With the hurricane game also moved to Anaheim, we're going to play 28/32 home/away.

Too bad he does not have to bat

we should just throw at their guys until the benches clear then everyone should go after fiers and nobody else.

it'll have to be the day he pitches, because otherwise he'll be sitting up in the stands like a pussy.

Like a bald pussy, but not in the good way

Meh... but it would be so sweet to see our boys light him up like Baghdad ‘91.

Let's see what you got Click

Need to at least get someone like Matt Barnes now that Workman and Rosenthal have both been traded.

I want more, but I will take the BP help at the least.

The problem for Click is that the prospect cupboard is bare. Like close to worst in league bare.

The playoffs aren't even guaranteed to take place.  It's crazy to trade away anyone who has a shot at helping you down the road.

I haven't watched Cole pitch this year.  What's his problem?  Is it his control?  If he can throw 99 at the top and the bottom of the zone consistently then he's pretty much unhittable.  Surely the Yankees weren't stupid enough to mess with that.
