Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young and Sarah Whitcomb.   Whitcomb's looked really bad as Nalyssa Smith fell back on her leg and bent it the wrong way.   Every one is back on the floor though.

WTF was A’ja doing after that huge rebound

Speaking of terrible sets

Foul up 3?

Making sure you do it on the floor.   They shoot 2 FTs and lose time.   i dont love the philosophy but there are plenty who subscribe to it.

Not if that's the look Phoenix is going to get 😂

@Js1 @ztejas

10 min to tip!   I thought this was going to be a night game so dropping a reminder

Aces were sleepwalking the first 5 mins.  Finally woke up to go on 10-0 run and take the lead

Mercs up 27-24 after 1

Feels like Mercs have dominated 4/5 quarters so far but not when it mattered

There is nothing I love more than great PG play and Chelsea Gray is one of the best ever

3 fouls on AT in the first half

Point Goddess

There will always be an A'ja run.   You HAVE to win the other wins and win them big.

Las A’ja up 46-37 at half

Elle, Andraya or Chiney in any order, don't care who is first.

7:19 in the 3rd

4 on AT. What a move by A’ja

Jackie scored 21 in the 3rd lol

Aces up 76-61

22 pt lead for the Aces after 3Qs.  Not over yet but closing fast.

Both of those offensive fouls were bad calls.

double double for Gray.   32 from JYo abd 28 from A'ja.   Not a lot of overcoming that.

That looked like it hurt. But A’ja can’t see behind her

Phoenix waving the flag

Edited by Js1

Mercury waving the white flag.   That's a wrap, 2-0

Holy shit.   I knew it was a lot.  I didnt know it was literally only 2 veteran players in the entire league that won't be FAs this offseason.

Not winning game 1 might be what kills Phoenix

Gotta win 4 of the next 5.

WNBA Finals opener is most-watched since league’s inaugural year

Friday’s Mercury-Aces WNBA Finals Game 1 averaged 1.9 million viewers on ESPN, up 62% from Lynx-Liberty last year (1.1M) and the most-watched Finals opener since the inaugural edition in 1997, a single-elimination Liberty-Comets game that averaged 2.8 million on NBC.

The Aces’ win, which peaked with 2.5 million viewers, delivered the second-largest Finals audience overall since 2000 — behind only last year’s winner-take-all Game 5 (2.2M) — and ranks seventh all-time. Four of the top ten have come in the past two years, with Games 3 and 4 of last year’s series also making the list.

For those that like to talk about ratings.

Wasn’t this like 8-5 Mercs? It’s now 21-8 Aces lol

Vegas up 55-43 at half

This gonna be a sweep or a gentleman’s (lady’s?) sweep

nalyssa Smith is a menace

Forget about tv ratings. Let’s just go to the game at these prices!

17 point lead for Aces looking to go up 3-0

I don't know what A'Ja's playoff #s are but after this one they're going to be even more absurd.

Assuming they hold on and win the title this is pretty easily the best season in W history.

Man. I think Aaliyah Boston did a lot of work last series to keep Indy in it.

Mercs making it interesting

Real interesting now

Copper has trimmed the deficit to 1 all by herself

Oh God LV's late game offense again.

It's so fucking bad. Like the Russ/KD thunder years.

Again I can't comprehend liking basketball and not liking these games.

Mercs look better without Sabally. She’s been a mess - major chucker

A’ja needs to touch the ball and barely has down the stretch
