This fits me a little more snugly in an XL than the 08-09 home Adidas L did. And a little less snugly than the 17-18 L New Balance.

August 12, 20205 yr More Sarr gossip – Watford apparently demanding £40M We should offer £15M plus Harry Wilson.
August 12, 20205 yr Seems like Werner money, no? I don't know much about Sarr, but give me Werner > Sarr and FSG thought that was too much moolah.
August 12, 20205 yr Author Werner got more than £200k a week in wages. Doubt Sarr would be above £75k. But don’t see us paying anywhere near £40m
August 13, 20205 yr The deal for Werner also required a lump sum in order to activate his release clause. I doubt we pay that much for Sarr but he was Watford's record signing last season at £30M, so there gonna want something in that neighborhood. Then again, they don't have PL money anymore.

August 13, 20205 yr Author I don’t think it’s bottom 3. It’s not a bad color in person. Warrior was terrible with away/3rd Jerseys. 12-13 3rd jersey was some tribal tattoo piece of shit,13-14 road and 3rd jerseys were god awful and I’m sure we’ve had some worse alternate jerseys in the last decade (yellow warrior ones come to mind).

The only ones in that category IMO are the 13/14 Away and 3rd. I didn't really like the 18/19 3rd or the first 3rd but the rest were either OK, or pretty good IMO. This one is bad.

August 13, 20205 yr Author New Balance was a huge improvement on Warrior. this one is 💯 worse than our 20-21 away kit.

August 13, 20205 yr Man, looking back through our recent kit history is really something. We consistently have some of the worst kits of the big clubs.
August 14, 20205 yr Thiago move heating up. We've officially made contact but apparently don't want to meet the €30M fee that Bayern is demanding. He's only got a year left on his contract, yeah? That's a lotta coin for a 29-year old who can't seem to stay healthy but he's also world class, so there's that. Guessing this one happens as soon as Bayern are done w/ CL.
August 15, 20205 yr Author I’m all in on Thiago. Guy is a maestro. And I want us to resign Gini. Our multi-billionaire owners can find a way. Sell Wilson or Grujic.
August 15, 20205 yr I'd call that an upgrade. It's wild that they had about 2 weeks off. Going back to the kit discussion, the 2012-2013 home shirt is my favorite of the Warrior>New Balance era. Whole lot of crappy kits though in that time. 2017-2018 to present were all pretty great home kits. Away and 3rd kits are always crap to me though I have the orange 2017-2018 one from my trip to Anfield. My favorite is still the 2008 Adidas home kit with the Carlsberg sponsorship and the old crest. August 16, 20205 yr Hope they get it done. I agree with mib, I think Gini wants a new challenge. Thiago is a great replacement. We need another striker. Any updates on Sarr? Edited August 16, 20205 yr by mdmost
August 17, 20205 yr Watching City and the Mancs get ousted from their tournaments was a sweet bit of Schadenfreude.
August 17, 20205 yr The Pep one was more enjoyable. Put all his eggs in the UEFA basket and still came up empty. Curious what this means for them going forward. His act has to be wearing thin with the players. It wouldn't shock me to see them go for one more time with him by spending big.

With the season starting in a few weeks, they'd by hard pressed to find another manager of Pep's quality. I'm sure they are going to be prepared for a quick trigger if things don't go well this fall.
August 17, 20205 yr City is not going to replace Pep this year but I think it might be his last season with them. The club owners want Champions League above all else and he's failed to deliver. Not many managers better than Pep but I would guess they'd settle for Simeone or Pocchetino after failing to get Zidane.
August 17, 20205 yr I wasn't implying they'd sack him before the season starts. I'm saying I bet they go big with spending on players one last time with him and if he can't deliver this coming season with UEFA, he's out. Edited August 17, 20205 yr by mdmost
August 17, 20205 yr Marko Grujic has been linked with a permanent £13M move to Werder Bremen. Hard to see him with a future at Liverpool and I guess that's a decent fee in this market.
August 17, 20205 yr Hertha Berlin has shown some interest in keeping him. Maybe Edwards can play the two off one another.
August 17, 20205 yr 4 minutes ago, maninblack said: I know it's a depressed market but anything less than 20M for Grujic would suck 51 appearances for Hertha in two seasons. 24 years old. We should be easily getting 20M for him.
August 18, 20205 yr 8 hours ago, pied said: How much did we pay for him, ~5M? We paid just under £6M. Over the past few seasons, we recouped £3.3M in loan fees.
August 19, 20205 yr So nothing on the COVD rumors that were out yesterday. The way we're continuing and have friendlies scheduled, I'm guessing no big deal or bad info.
August 19, 20205 yr Author Rumor was it could be player or staff. If staff they probably retested everybody and isolated the staff member.
