    Mane - Kepa - Mane!

  • Been a huge fan of Tsimikas for at least four days now. Very excited to see us land him. I wonder if he might be able to cover at RB as well, because apparently he's got a good right peg on him.

Not all that surprised. He has been a zero in every game he’s played. Just hasn’t offered any impact imo

Ozan Kabak: ‘It’s try before you buy’ for Liverpool

Quote

There was a ringing endorsement from David Wagner, the Turkey international centre-back’s manager at Schalke until last September. Klopp also spoke with close friend Christian Heidel, the former Schalke sporting director whom he knows well from their days together at Mainz. Another glowing reference was provided by Sven Mislintat, the ex-Borussia Dortmund chief scout and current Stuttgart sporting director.

“I told Jurgen that he’s a top lad,” Arsenal’s former head of recruitment Mislintat tells The Athletic. “Top mentality, top character, top aggression. He’s a (Dejan) Lovren-type player. Very good in the air, both defensively and in the opposition box.

Welp

So who starts at CB against City? Seems unlikely that either of the two new guys get the nod but it would be real nice to have Hendo back in the midfield. Fabinho might not be available and if he's not, then wtf do we do? Hendo/Davies seems the most likely in that scenario; Davies is older and more experienced than Kabak, he's a native English speaker, and he's faced City before. Either Kabak or Davies is a better option that Phillips or Williams but it does seem pretty crazy to throw them into the first XI in our most important match of the season.

I think it will be Hendo and Davies & the thought of it frightens me, but here we are.

Believe klopp said hendo/nat for Brighton and said fab would be back for city...

No Alisson today. Out with an illness. Bobby back in ahead of Origi. Davies on the bench.

Wow that was boring. Not sure I understand Shaq’s position today.

We need more running and dynamism.

barf. What a shitty goal.

Sums up this season, doesn't it.

Welp...so much for my call

Come the fuck on....can beat the spurs and other top teams but fucking burnley, bha, etc...kill us

This team's struggles against the lower half of the table are laughably bad.

Too many injuries. When we’re relying on Ox and Origi and Milner to bring us back from a goal down we’re in trouble.

We're hot or cold.  Last couple of seasons when we were cold, we  got a result.  This year, the opposite.

Lol wut? He’s literally been our best player this season.

Well Hagbard's angry that Hendo isn't playing like VvD at CB. Bit of a tall order.

Leipzig might be forced to forfeit if they cant find a neutral stadium...German government wont allow liverpool into country

still waaayyyyyy  early, but you ahve to like reading these comments on top of what we've actually seen on the field.

‘Unreal’ – Exclusive: Liverpool kid dubbed by teammate ‘Best 17-yr-old I’ve ever seen’

Blackburn Rovers’ staff and players have been blown away by the performances of Liverpool teenager Harvey Elliott in training, Football Insider understands.

The attacker has made a big impact at Ewood Park since he joined on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League champions in October.

One senior Blackburn player told Football Insider that Elliott is “the best 17-year-old I’ve ever seen”, and tipped him to have an “unreal career” at the top level.

Other leading players at the Championship club have been left open-mouthed at the youngster’s ability.

Particular attention was brought to the loanee’s decision making and ball retention at Blackburn’s Brockhall training ground, attributes that will no doubt please Jurgen Klopp.

However, Elliott is not just impressing behind-the-scenes.

His 21 appearances in the Championship this season have yielded four goals and eight assists – no player in the division has set up more.

A product of Fulham’s academy, Elliott moved to Anfield in July 2019, and one-year later he put pen to paper on his first professional contract.

Elliott became the youngest player in Premier League history when he featured for Fulham against Wolves – aged 16 years and 30 days – in May 2019.

yep. No reason not have a centerback lined up in December and brought in January 1st. Schalke have known they were getting relegated since October. Any person that can pull up transfermarkt.com could see Davies was out of contract at the end of the year.

Putting all our eggs behind Fabinho and half-crocked Matip since early November was terrible planning by a normally diligent front-office.

Jones for Milner, I like. Kabak on the bench, meh.

Need the 3 today if we want to win league I feel

Wish we were starting Kabak just to get Henderson’s legs back in the midfield. Glad to see Jones. Provides us something a bit more direct in midfield that we have been missing with this midfield three.

Ederson with another giveaway yet we are gonna keep pretending he’s so incredible with the ball lol

Thiago has had a lot of those lately.

every game. Resulted in Southampton’s 2nd minute goal.

City needs a defender and they splash 80 million in Dias. We need a defender and its 1/2 a million for a Championship player.
