soccer players are pretty much essential workers given their importance to the mental health and well-being of people in the UK.  take a 2 week break and get them started on the vaccines.
a multi-week winter break should already be built into the Premier League like all the other European leagues.  this might be the beginning of a yearly break.
Kind of agree with this. People would have a meltdown though

Don't expect it.

BTW - that thread is a really good read, I highly recommend following the first post and reading the whole thing.

Another thing to note - the EPL/FA is about to run out of dates to put games back

The thread goes on and on. But it explains that if certain teams win out, the EPL could be in a big schedule crisis not being able to get all of the required games in by May 23.

Carabao and FA Cup can just go away. International duties need to be suspended until all the players are vaccinated. Why is it fine to send these guys off to various countries around the globe all with vastly different protocols, stages, and rates of infections?

It's easy to say that. But a decision that no one seems to want to make.

Why do you hate money?

West Ham could get all 3 points on a goal in the last 5 minutes.  Everton needed this.

big match about to start up.  ManU could tie Liverpool for first in points with a win (though will be behind in goals for).  Villa could tie for third with a win (and with a game in hand).

Good save from Martinez. Red Devils having the better of play so far.

Mings completely whiffed on that clearance header... 1-nil on a counterattack from ManUtd.

Not a good 3 game stretch for him.

Didn't last long... Luiz very clumsy and Pogba down in the box.

Penalty. 2-1 United in the 61st.

That's the final result, too. Entertaining match... score was representative of the play, I think.

This West Brom v Arsenal snow globe game is pretty fun to watch.

Newcastle and Leicester demonstrating just why they are where they are in the table.

Newcastle get a break and the cross into the box finds no one because their forwards stopped on the edge of the box for some reason. The game remains 1-0.

Leicester breaks and their forwards don’t make the mistake and they score their second.

Yeah, Newcastle has been the better side for much of the last 20-25 minutes, but that situation I pointed out exemplifies why Leicester has maintained their advantage.

For sure. They are a powerful squad, I just love how scrappy Newcastle is playing. Always had a soft spot for them.

Steffen in goal today for City.

Citeh a perfect demonstration of how the EPL doesn't care about player safety. SIX players out due to COVID protocols!?!?

Nice. He’s gonna get tested.

Yep. You can tell that Chelsea is going to make sure he's not comfortable when the ball is played back to him. I bet they try to pepper him with shots too.

I'd certainly fucking hope so. Never know with this team.

BRAIN: Don't Make a mistake! Don't Make a mistake! Don't Make a mistake! Don't Make a mistake! Don't Make a mistake!

<Picks up a back pass>

That was a pretty strong strike.

This feels like it's about to get out of control for Chelsea.

About to? I'm not seeing 2 goals out there for us today. Not seeing us keep them out of the net for another 70', either.

Sweet lord, that counter Raheem. At least you still got KDB.

Is Frank making it out of the season?

Frank isn't the issue. We need to throw $100M at a new winger. Not enough talent on the pitch.

I mean, Frank has made it further than most expected, but it's starting to sour.

If Keven De Bruyne wore all white how would teammates even see him?

He could potentially save his job if we can keep it rolling in the CL but that's still almost 2 months away.

We have Fulham to try and get back on track - Wolves and Leicester after that. I think Fulham has become must win and if we drop 3 against either of the 2 after that I think he's done.

There's nothing wrong with losing to City - but we weren't even competitive. 3-1 is a massively forgiving scoreline for what we put on display.

I see Phil Knight got a hold of Liverpools kits

I'm not sure I can handle a TOTT ManU after 17 games.
