Moonlighting had such a great cast that it would be hard to recapture the magic.

Somebody floated the idea of a Moonlighting reboot with Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.  Hard pass on her.  Moonlighting had a really great cast.

I still remember when Moonlighting did a "taming of the shrew" episode, that started with a horse wearing sunglasses.   just as Shakespeare intended.

You want a smart, funny, retro family comedy? Bring back The Kids Are Alright. That was the best thing to come out of ABC in decades. The writing was gold and the cast was brilliant. Mom (Mary McCormack) was an evil fucking genius.

The Kids Are Alright was brilliant. It was very Catholic and the kids were a good mix of late boomers and early Gen X. Not exactly a big market for Catholic sitcoms on network tv. The cancellation was a shame because the cast was so good.

The Goldbergs is good, but it is a sitcom. The Wonder Years was a drama. Think more of an updated Wonder Years (or Freaks and Geeks) starting in the era of My So-Called Life. Pre-Columbine. Pre-Amber alert. Pre-helicopter parents.

Like the Goldbergs, but only for the 90s?

So, Schooled.   Which just got canceled.

That actually sorta sounds interesting. Going back to the seminal boomer time period, however, kinda kills the buzz for me. The "Wonder Years" were only a couple of decades in the rear view mirror when the original show premiered. Would love to see a producer nut up and cover, let's say, the mid-1990s to the mid-2000s.

isn't that fresh off the boat?

they are rebooting a league of their own

Broad City's Abbi Jacobson and Will Graham created the hourlong series, which is described as a reinterpretation of the original nearly 30-year-old feature film about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The Amazon take, which stars Jacobson, will have the spirit of Penny Marshall's beloved movie while expanding its lends to explore race and sexuality as the series follows a new ensemble of women carving out their own paths in the league and outside of it.

I think we need a Silver Spoons, Its Your Move, and Growing Pains reboots.  Also about time for one of those treasure hunting comedy reboots as well (Midnight Madness)

We need a Hello, Larry reboot.

McLean Stevenson’s agent’s ghost says that sounds like a winner

Reboot "Fresh Prince" with white people.

Erin Gray, Caren Kaye, a young Tricia Cast, and Joanna Kerns.

That as a nice lineup.  Particularly Erin Gray.

A Family Ties reboot with a MAGA son could be good.

I want to see them try to remake "Soap".
