April 29, 20214 yr Not that I am not worried about Kane leaving because I am. But the economics of soccer being what they are right now doesn't really help him in making a move. The money for a transfer in the range that he would command is going to be hard to come by for a lot of clubs that just played the "poor rich club" card. Stil finish top 4 and this is a moot point, but you never know.
April 29, 20214 yr I like ETH as the next coach. The guy has worked wonders at Ajax and I think would fit well with this club now. He doesn't improve the defense immediately, but if they spend some money ..
April 29, 20214 yr speaking of kane, his comments about mourinho are more concerning to me than his reported desire to leave absent a top 4 finish.

Mourinho won trophies everywhere he had been except Tottenham. When Mourinho was hired, one of the remarks I heard from fans of other EPL teams was "how spursy would it be if Mourinho fails horribly at Tottenham AND doesn't win a trophy?"
April 30, 20214 yr Author Erik ten Hag stays at Ajax signing a new contract with the club. Your move Levy.
April 30, 20214 yr No manager who can chose a club where your domestic league is a friendly have the season and CL football is a given is going to move to a club where you have to fight like mad to make a top 4 IMO
April 30, 20214 yr Author It wouldn’t surprise me if we didn’t end up with Scott Parker or Eddie Howe. Levy running out of options.

In that same 5 years they had to come through the playoffs to make the group stage more often than not. that said yes, Tottenham has a tough route to the CL. You arguably have 7-8 teams for 4 spots.

It may have to do with Ajax exercising the one year extension on his contract. That would make the compensation needed even higher.

May 2, 20214 yr A much needed beat down. And after that VAR red card incident (what a joke) Sheffield got what they deserved. Enjoy relegation bitches.
May 2, 20214 yr Yeah. How that isn't a red card is beyond me. Really wanted Harry to get one to help with the boot
May 3, 20214 yr So a QQ on this as I was out riding when the beginning of the game was on: did VAR not have the ref look at that again? Or did the ref look at it and say “nah I didn’t miss anything”?

May 5, 20214 yr Please take Dier. Love him as a team member not so much as a FB but Hojbjerg is by far our best signing in years.

May 6, 20214 yr Good loss for Spurs and anyone chasing the top 4. With Arsenal out, the chance of a non top 4 EPL winner in Europa AND the CL pushing out the 4th slot from the champions league is unlikely.
May 7, 20214 yr Looks like another good likely loss today for Spurs. Newcastle up 3-0 on Leister. Are we seeing another Leister meltdown?
