November 29, 20205 yr Author Pls sub Frank. This XI isn't doing it. @TexArcher maybe a little jittery knowing he's playing for his starting spot? That's what I'll choose to beleive. Edited November 29, 20205 yr by ztejas
November 29, 20205 yr Author Really would have preferred to see 5 more minutes of Pulisic and Giroud.
November 29, 20205 yr Author I'm not faulting Frank because he has had a lot of new shit to deal with in the way of figuring out lineups, even though I would have liked to see the subs made sooner - but Tammy cannot have games like this when the top spot of the table is on the line - and the fact is he has too many games like this regardless of opponent. The defense continues to impress minus a bad giveaway each by Silva and Zouma. Ziyech continues to be a fucking witch and probably the best player on our team right now. Wener and Mount showed quality. Reece was about as good as we can ask. Havertz, just, idk man. I hope he figures it out. It's easy to forget he's on the pitch sometimes.

December 2, 20205 yr https://streamye.com/vb259 Kai actually running the offense and Giroud does his thing.
December 2, 20205 yr Author Our B team back 4 is playing like... a B team back 4. Which is honestly progress. Our A team was playing like a B team for awhile there.

Guessing we see -Pulisic +Mount (maybe Billy if we're up 2 or 3-0?) and -Giroud +Tammy later. Zero reason to play Werner. Burning him out is the last thing we want.

December 2, 20205 yr Author This color guy fucking LOVES puli. Called him the best winger in England along with Mane during the restart and just referred to him as the best player on the pitch (which, is probably true, but still).

Everyone else needs to rest adn the guys on the pitch need the time.
December 2, 20205 yr Author This is quickly turning into an exhibition down the left side. Glad to see him pick right up from where he left off. Must be the beard.
December 2, 20205 yr I love watching Giroud try to press. It makes me feel like I could play in the Premier League if I were a few inches taller.

December 2, 20205 yr Author I've never seen a team cry for so many non-handball handballs. And I've watched a lot of CONCACAF soccer.
December 2, 20205 yr Author Decent first half. Should probably be more like 2-1 - Pulisic had a couple 40%ish chances and seems like we are lucky to not concede.
December 2, 20205 yr https://twitter.com/OptaJoe/status/1334249851391971336 34y 63d - Olivier Giroud is the oldest player in Champions League history to score a hat-trick, while he's the oldest to do it in the European Cup since Real Madrid's Ferenc Puskás in September 1965 (38y 173d v Feyenoord). Glorious. Edited December 2, 20205 yr by Scraps
December 2, 20205 yr Four for Giroud. I love that no one, including Jorgi, even approached the ball for the pk. Team chemistry, there.
December 2, 20205 yr 4 - Olivier Giroud is the first Chelsea player to score four goals in a game since Frank Lampard in March 2010 vs Aston Villa, while he's the first to net four for Chelsea in a European Cup/Champions League game. Incredible.
December 2, 20205 yr Author Lost in Giroud scoring 4 goals is Chelsea rolling out mostly 2nd stringers and absolutely drubbing a decent Sevilla team 4-0.

December 5, 20205 yr Author That was so fucking sexy. Can't decide if the ball or the finish was the best part.
