PROBABLE STARTING PITCHES
TUESDAY—

WEDNESDAY—Texas Southern RHP TBA vs. Texas TBA

McKenzie behind the plate? That must be a typo.

Edit: I didn't read the tweet part. Pierce is getting too cute with this game. He needs to focus on winning it.

I'm not sure if this is true or not but I've heard that Mckenzie is playing all 9 positions tonight.

He's at first now

Nice double play. 3-2-3

Wonder how the guy from Minnesota likes the Valley.

Probably has snowbird parents or grandparents.  There's tons of minny sotans down in the valley.  It's weird.

Nice throw by CF there. Didn't think it would be close. 3-0

That's all for Stevens as Bocchi relieves him here in the 3rd. Hard to tell too much from this outing. I would like to see more.

And Mckenzie now at third. I'm glad we're leading by a good amount because he'll be pitching soon at this rate.

Kody plates a pair with a bases loaded single, 10-1 Texas

3 run triple by Hamilton.  Glad to see him starting to hit.

So jake is going in order 2-9, then will pitch to close the game.  Better be prepared for a short game, or let ridgeway pitch until it’s 13-6.

The run rule is always 10+ after 7.  I believe the coaches have to agree in advance that it will apply and it is customary to do so on days where one team is traveling for the game.

I see our mascot drunk David Ash is behind that plate again

So, that's kind of cool for McKenzie.  But it seems kind of gimmicky.  Would Augie have done this?

Texas wins 13-2 in 7. Jake McKenzie played all 9 positions in the process.

Edited by Horny Bull

Jake mckenzie.. played 9 positions in a 7 inning run rule win... catcher (watching muted with the wife, i called it here), 1st (started a key double play), 2nd (turned a nice DP catching the flip bare handed), 3rd, SS... then rotated thru the OF with each out in 6th inning when the run rule looked likely lol .. pitched final 2 outs in 7th. Crowd chanted "jake, jake, jake" after The Eyes

It was gimmicky, but it was unique. Jake bunted to move 2 runners into scoring position when we were up 7, so i think he honored Augie there. He used 5 gloves.
