September 3, 20232 yr I though Sark said it was rib related from falling on the ball? Edited September 3, 20232 yr by lilMAC25
September 3, 20232 yr It's cool. All our recent 5-star RBs have a early play where they get beat up. And by all, I mean Bijan doing some inhuman bending.

September 3, 20232 yr As excited as I was about Baxter the idiot in me forgot about Blue being talented. That kid balled today. Sometimes you have to earn snaps he did that. I didn't see much of Robinson.

The playing surface was fresh, following a full replacement after the Crimson Tide’s A-Day game. The new grass received stellar reviews from Alabama’s players. “I liked it, it was great,” offensive lineman Tyler Booker said during a Monday press conference. “We’ve always had a great stadium and I’ve always been a fan of grass. It just got redone. I don’t have anything bad to say about it, just excited to go play down there in front of all the fans.” As soon as A-Day was completed, the field was totally stripped. The new surface has some fancy features, including a vacuum-assisted drainage system, as well as soil-heating capabilities. The field is northbridge bermuda grass, while the sidelines are now artificial turf. The new sod was installed in July. The field surface renovation was the stadium’s most involved since 1991. Fan Day was the first time fans have had the opportunity to see the new grass in person. According to defensive back Malachi Moore, the differences for players weren’t huge. “I didn’t even realize it was new grass,” Moore said. “I know that we get new grass every year or whatnot, but I didn’t know that it was brand new or something like that. But it felt nice, it was good.”
September 9, 20232 yr We probably won’t get this cute against Bama, but at some point I want to see Blue lined up next to Red in the backfield
September 10, 20232 yr Posting this halfway through the 4th quarter vs Alabama … I believe Baxter has “it” and can be one of Texas’ best-ever RBs. He reminds me a bit of Jamaal. Get him some S$C and a full offseason and look out.

September 10, 20232 yr I hope you're right. Jamaal made some plays against OSU early that were crazy good. Baxter hasn't shown that, but I'm hopeful.

September 10, 20232 yr Post game I think I saw Baxter limping to the locker room with a trainer. Anyone have any injury news on him?
September 11, 20232 yr Author Awesome how multiple RBs were used vs Bama. Get big game experience and build depth and confidence of that entire RB group. Just incredible job Coach Choice !!! 🤘

September 11, 20232 yr We got the killer B’s rb room. Baxter Brooks and Blue. Throw in K-Rob and we got a hell of a committee. I don’t recall us playing 4 as consistently in many many years. I know Blue played more in Rice game

September 17, 20232 yr Great night from Brooks. That’s the kind of performance we have been waiting to see from him. Sark probably should have given him 10 more carries in the first half.
September 17, 20232 yr Popular Post I'm reposting this from the Quinn Ewers thread. In the last few years, I have been fortunate to spend time w some amazing athletes. It's been a great opportunity to learn that they are pretty much normal folks like everyone else. They have fears, need help, etc, and do understand how lucky they are. I always think about the former athletes who weren't able to get to the league and how they got forgotten about, especially when they stop being someone's meal ticket. Along w Quinn Ewers, I got to hang w Cedric Baxter for three hours last week. He's trimmer than I thought he would be. He is a very sweet young man. Again, humble, smart and very approachable. I spoke to him at length and learned all about him. He told me about being originally committed to Florida State, which was his dream, but how when Coach Choice came to Texas, it was a done deal. He also wanted to leave the state and see more of the world, but he eventually would like to play for the Dolphins. He is also quite interested in fashion and has even created his own brand! You can follow him at @c4era on Insta. Check out his logo, which is pretty fun. We talked about how much we both liked Jahmyr Gibbs, who is a product of Choice. I told him I can't wait to watch him on Sundays. I told him I knew we would beat Bama when he got the start, cause we weren't playing scared. He said coming here early gave him the jump on learning the system and he appreciated the trust the coaches have in him. He said his injury is nothing to worry about. I also met his family. They were wonderful and are very protective of him. It made me realize how young he really is, as I think he said he came here when he was 17! I told them he is going to do great things in football or otherwise, and they appreciated it. I encouraged him to pursue the fashion world, since technology allows people to create successfully their own brand now. He also expressed to me about how much the win over Bama meant to Quinn in a really powerful way. Cedric w a familiar face in the background. I must have been standing on a podium. As you can see, I am no stranger to the glory that is Megastuff Oreos. They are my favorite, or maybe the ones dipped in chocolate. Yeah, those are even better. I also like Saloman trail runners. Allbirds suck. Don't buy them. On Cloudmonsters are also amazing when conquering urban landscapes. Rocking his logo. Quinn Ewers is a unique talent and a great person. Just chillin'. Best day ever. Anyway, thanks for indulging me.
September 17, 20232 yr Gonna need both Brooks and Baxter for Bailor. Need to wear down the Bailor defense. Can't dick around for 3 quarters with incompletions like last night and can't lose the TOP battle 39 to 21. Run the ball Sark! Our team has to remember Bailor wants to win this game more than they want to rape co-eds.

Sark probably should have given him 10 more carries in the first half. I think the goal was to rest the backs as much as possible. Unfortunately, the QB and WRs couldn’t get in a rhythm for 3 quarters. If they consistently connected, because they were open, there would have been little need to get more wear and tear on one of the two RBs this team can rely on at the moment.
