hulla got so pissed that he went and helped the opening act, Cory Branan, sell merch.  I sat there and endured the show/rants/odd declarations of how much JTE loved his wife and would not do anything to jeopardize that love.

Cory Branan is the shit.  "The No-Hit Wonder" is a damn fine album.

Cory is a great dude.  I was at a tiny show one night when Richard Goodsell brought Cory a new amp to try out.  He put his acoustics away, pulled out a hopped up Strat and fucked around with the amp all night.  Really cool show.   LOVE No-Hit Wonder.   Survivor Blues from Mutt is one of the best written songs I've ever heard.  So many lyrical bits of genius throughout that song.

I go back and forth on which version I like better.   This is the 'Thin Lizzy' version.

It's a recent acquisition we should probably ditch the plates</quote>

Last time I saw him was at 3Ten. Prine did a taping upstairs that night so he had a big crowd. He probably talked more than he played but it was still a good show.

I was at that show.  The crowd by the bar wouldn't shut the fuck up.  Every show I have seen there it is the same thing.

Yeah, there and the new Antone’s seem to be the worst for that. Just go to a bar ya assholes.

Kinda of a Thin Lizzy type of vibe, mixed with other things. Cool, will check out more.

love both of them.  Steve is one ugly dude though.

2020 is bitch from hell.  I never delved deeply into Justin's songs, but his top songs were really great listening.

In a year which has taken many of us, I'm thankful to have listened to his music over the years.

RIP, JTE

Same. I knew who he was but never really listened much. I’ve been listening to a heavy rotation of Uncle Tupelo on Spotify lately and once an UT album rolls through completely and it starts playing similar artists, JTE is a big player. Really dig a lot of it.

Includes 6 unreleased songs, the only from these demo tapes that didn’t make the The Saint of Lost Causes album which is an underrated best all time records. Fun album of obscure tracks.
