August 28, 20205 yr First, we start with the Community Shield on Saturday. Then we announce Auba and and Gabriel. Then we get the Mikel Arteta era started for real. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

August 29, 20205 yr Long way to go in this one and defense still gives me the shakes at times but I do see glimpses of the entire squad buying in and executing what appears to be a pretty sensible plan.
August 29, 20205 yr I sort of hate settling silverware with PKs (though understandable in this instance) but that will do....that will do just fine
August 29, 20205 yr Can you eat or drink anything out of the Community Shield? Like fill it up with queso? Congrats. Aubameyang is pretty awesome.

August 29, 20205 yr I’m cautiously optimistic heading into the season and think Arteta has us heading in the right direction. Gabriel should be a big boost to the back line if they can close the deal (reported to be close), and the youngsters should continue improving after getting experience last year. 1 hour ago, shadow_operative said: without him and Leno we'd have been in a relegation fight last year. August 29, 20205 yr It just feels like everyone is on the same page... players have clear direction and the consistency is showing. Will be really interesting to see what happens in the market. AMN has looked too good and is too versatile to let go. Gotta hope we can get Ceballos in. Sounds like Holding might be moving. Torreria sadly not working out. Can we get a decent number for Martinez? Lotta questions...

September 4, 20205 yr Author Eddie was named captain for the England U-21 side fir the Euro qualifier, then went out and scored a second half hat trick in a ten minute span 51' and 61'. The kid is going places. Edited September 4, 20205 yr by shadow_operative
September 4, 20205 yr Author Ceballos is official, and seeing as how Zidane has zero plans to use him, i'm hoping that he has a productive season and then stays on with us going forward.
September 12, 20205 yr Looks like Martínez is leaving for ~ £20m (Brighton or Villa). Don’t blame him for wanting playing time. What a player he was, subbing for Leno last season. Thank you, Emiliano. Always a Gunnerhttps://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/sep/11/emiliano-martinez-not-in-arsenal-squad-and-brighton-join-race-to-sign-him-aston-villa Edited September 12, 20205 yr by Dutch
September 12, 20205 yr Author •Gabriel scores •Willian with two assists and a great work rate •Auba with another brilliant goal that started from a goal kick •Laca gets the start and scores •Three away goals •Clean sheet Thats a helluva start to the season, and a helluva lot better than we've been starting our seasons/playing on the road in general. Still definitely need to add Auoar/another dynamic attacking mid, but a really encouraging opening match. COYG! 🔴⚪️
September 13, 20205 yr Wasn't able to get up for match yesterday after late Friday night so got to watch replay this morning. Really good to see them come out and rather than fucking around with a team like Fulham they went ahead and dispatched them with ease. We are not to the point where we are going to win constantly when running with the really big boys so it's important to make sure we kick the scrubs in the teeth. Oh and @texanbychoice.....nice effort.

Oh and @texanbychoice.....nice effort. I just saw that Spurs lost to Everton. I thought, "would it even be worth the effort to drop by and point that out on the Spurs thread?" Then I thought, "Nope, nothing really out of the ordinary going on."
September 15, 20205 yr Auba signs a new long-term contract! They've been teasing us all summer, finally did it. I am starting to get a really good feeling about this year. Edited September 15, 20205 yr by TexasBuckeye
