I'll be pulling for Azarenka, but I expect Osaka to blast her off the court.

Azarenka broke to open. Now up 2-0 with Osaka serving.

Osaka getting her ass kicked. Might be nerves but seems like that should be less of a factor with no crowds.

That may be it.  Vika fails to break back with three break points

Shoot. Vika just fell apart.

It’s more Osaka turning it up and pressing Vika into mistakes than “falling apart”.

great fight from Vika, back on serve

Missing three breakpoint chances at love forty in the third was falling apart. Especially that last point on the second serve.

too good naomi.  well done.

Osaka turned up the quality in the third set.  She was off in the first and Vika was super aggressive.  It was a fun match and could have gone either way easily.

I think Thiem blows Zverev off the court unless his serve is consistent at 125 plus and well located.  Thiem looks so brutal hitting the ball but his shots are fantastic.

I think it’s a four set Thiem win.

Osaka is very likable. I hope she’s around a long time.

If I could be either of these guys, I would put up with potential hotel issues due to my height and be Zverev. I like the serve & volley game and that TikTok tweet of Sverev hanging with just amazing groupies at some bar has me really jealous.

And it would be cool to have a 138 mph first serve.

Zverev looking like a future Wimbledon winner.

He still has work to do on his volley decisions.

He just had a 131 mph SECOND serve for a winner. JFC!! 👀

Zverev Settles his stumbles and it’s on to the third.

Thiem comes back to win in 5. I like the Z’s style of play and that he’s willing to come to net at times. Banging away at the baseline is killing the sport.

There should be a line about 3 or 4 feet behind the baseline that you can’t stand behind in a serve return.

Calling it early.

In the 5th . . . .

What a point with the drop volley.

Zverev's retreating into passive mode again... at the worst possible time

Wow, what a forehand by Theim

Then again a point or two later.

Zverezervez with the nice head fake to get Theim to hit to his forehand.

Thiem hits the net tape and the ball almost hits the baseline.  That last game had some pace on the ball.

Thiem's upped his game and now he will serve for the match!

Zverev just waiting to unload on the right slice backhand.

Just did it again but missed long.  3-3

Holy shit. Zverev is double faulting the match away.

Jesus, two doublefaults in one tiebreaker

Thiem blasted two balls long with match point.  He's trying to win it.  Sometimes it's better to let the other guy lose it.

Thiem had an absolute sitter on MP and dumped it into the net!!! Holy shit
