This.  When somebody calls 911, it opens up a lot of possibilities for them.

If Gleason can break thru in Sun City hes gonna win. Round Rock and eastern wilco flipped to dem. RR county commissioner and JP in taylor pct are now democrat. Times they are a changing.
Gleason is a good guy.

Fixed for sad reality.  I'm supporting Gleeson, but I suspect Chody will win easily.  I hope I'm wrong.

The 2018 wins by Democrats in Wilco point away from an easy Choady win, but we shall see.
Excuse me, but two of the three state representatives from Wilco are democrats.

And MJ Hegar and Beto both won Wilco (narrowly).

I don't want to cast aspersions, but I'm beginning to suspect you might not be Team Choady.

Excellent.

You've got to be really, really, really bad to be a cop who gets indicted in Wilco.  He needs to get gone.

That was a roundabout way to spend money to get fucked in the ass.

Does he have a wife?  Asking for a friend.

Plohetski is a great reporter / journalist.

Can't believe he's still working at the Statesman.

I know Chody and Shawn and the thing I respect about Shawn is that he will do the right thing. I really believe he is trying to bring the county, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century.

Hopefully, this goes to trial. I’d like to say he’d been gone for good and quickly just being indicted. But no...damn Ken Paxton was indicted five years ago and he’s still in office. Largely because of delays of all kinds (including hurricanes etc) out the ass. Five years and no trial.

the article above kinda outlines it. Wish he’d just resign. But it’s harder to remove an elected official than I thought bc Texas law. He’d have to face trial it sounds like before a removal. Uggghhhh....

I know it was probably mentioned earlier, but I didn't realize Nassour owns KOKE and The Horn.

if i'm understanding you correctly, and I believe I am, you're saying Bob Cole is involved in all this too.

Math checks out.

WilCo runs a tight race with Waco and Bexar county for most corrupt justice systems.

Yeah, except Chody doesn't look like he had a stroke.

Shawn Dick is good people. Sat next to him in the north endzone with season tix for the horns, back in the day. Always seemed honest, for a lawyer. His dad was or still is Ft Bend Co DA.
Choady is a POS. The end

New Williamson County Sheriff was sworn in today.  And he's apparently going after Chody's folks.

https://www.kxan.com/news/local/williamson-county/new-williamson-county-sheriff-mike-gleason-sworn-in-announces-five-deputy-misconduct-investigations/

Quote

The sheriff said he was handed what he described as a “stack” of new complaints circulating around five incidents involving Williamson County deputies. Gleason called the complaints “deputy misconduct” and said his department’s internal affairs unit would open investigations into those allegations immediately.

“I haven’t even looked at them, we just basically got a stack of files yesterday—no, these were not Ranger ones, these are ones that have just been sitting dormant and fell on deaf ears,” Gleason said.

Quote

The new sheriff also detailed what he called “large priority” cases that he will have deputies assigned to finish in the coming days. Gleason said he and District Attorney Shawn Dick spent five hours on Dec. 31 going over some of the pending complaints against the sheriff’s office and some of the details related to the misconduct allegations.

“We have a huge backlog of cases because the previous administration simply was not working them. Some sexual assaults, some officer-involved issues that we need to look at. We have – not issues I should say- trying to pawn everything off on the Texas Rangers, the Attorney General’s Office, local jurisdictions; they don’t want them, so we’ve invited those cases back and we’re going to take another look at those,” Gleason said.

Quote

Gleason did not detail any of the specific allegations contained in the complaints, but confirmed his department has active investigations underway.

Quote

“It all comes back to the same players. This is something that we all came to agreement as we look at the whole matter, it all comes back to the same players—eight or nine people is probably the round number,” Gleason said referring to the number of deputies involved in the complaints.

“Are any of those eight or nine still with you?” KXAN investigator Jody Barr asked Gleason.

“No,” Gleason responded.

That sounds like Wilco sheriff’s dept is a complete tear down and rebuild....no quick flip with a little bit of paint to cover up the dirt.

https://www.kxan.com/news/indicted-former-williamson-county-deputies-charged-with-manslaughter-in-death-of-javier-ambler/

Quote

Two former Williamson County deputies have been charged with second degree manslaughter in the in-custody death of Javier Ambler in March 2019.

On Tuesday, a Travis County grand jury charged former deputies James Johnson, 36, and Zachary Camden, 26, who were present at the time of Ambler’s death — which was captured on camera during a filming of crime reality show “Live P.D.,” which Williamson County Sheriff’s Office previously appeared on.

Quote

Johnson and Camden’s bail is set at $150,000 and the court has prohibited them from working with law enforcement agencies or security companies.

“With these indictments, we have taken another critical step towards justice for the Ambler family and for our community,” said Travis County DA Jose Garza. “While we can never take away the pain of the Ambler family, the grand jury has sent a clear message that no one is above the law.”

The court shouldn't have to prohibit them from working with other law enforcement agencies or security companies - other law enforcement agencies should automatically shun them, but, welp, it's Texas.
