Every 4 years or so I splurge and build myself a new desktop. Finally going to upgrade to a SSD. Pretty cool website I found to build it this time around. Here are my specs. Nothing crazy, I usually spend around the same every time, $600-$700 or so.

What display are you rocking? Freesync support?

Nothing fancy but I will probably get another monitor next. My brother is shaming me for not having dual monitors. Currently have a 32 inch 1920 x 1080

No freesync support.

nice computer.  userbenchmark is trash tho.

My 12 year old son wants to build his first PC soon.  He's saving the money and is almost there.  I know nothing about it.  He has been looking at this one on PCpartpicker. (1st pic)

 https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/2cLrxr/modest-amd-gaming-build

He plays Rainbow Six Siege, COD, etc...    He wants was to stream some of his stuff and earn a billion dollars on Twitch too.  Would that PC be a decent place for him to start?  If he had more money to spent how would is best be spent?

The other option he's been looking at is NZXT (second pic, $899 version).  Any opinions?

Note there's a well established thread on building gaming PCs in the Video Games subforum, may get more feedback there:

I've been thinking about building one to handle the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.

Shocked that the Ryzen CPUs are becoming scarce.  One I want is out of stock until 10/16.  Guns and CPUs, new economics course.
