September 11, 20205 yr Popular Post We ain't talkin' bout practice anymore. Upperclassmen-laden team, Heisman candidate QB with a first round LT, frighteningly talented DL and DBs. Time for Herman to nut up and win the the Big XII, make the Playoff, and smash up OU's trailer park. We begin by thrashing the worst team in FBS tomorrow. Hook 'em! September 11, 20205 yr Listening to Herman's press conference, something that should benefit deeper teams that recruit well is the ability to play all of the freshman this year. It should help our special teams I would think.

September 11, 20205 yr Man. I’ll soon drinking because I’m having fun during a season rather than depressed because of it.

September 12, 20205 yr If that doesn’t give you chills, then you never have a shit about Texas football.
September 12, 20205 yr Iowa St and K St look like shit. We should win convincingly. (seriously this is not a difficult schedule)

But yeah, they both look terrible. Obviously they will be better when we play them. We need to fuck the big 12 up this year like you said.

September 13, 20205 yr Obviously it's too early to know for sure, but what's happening with Foster, Cook, Green, Eagles, Epps, etc. might suggest the failures of the previous coaches had less to do with scheme and more to do with culture/entitlement. For this many starters to become bench players as they become upper classmen suggests either evaluation or true competition wasn't happening before.

We can say the corners switched because they're asked to bump and run more in quarters, but Green spent most of the time doing this last year. Brown isn't being asked to do things drastically differently than what Foster was asked to do. The scheme for Eagles and Epps didn't change that drastically. Again, time will tell.

All of those guys except Epps were takes for every program in the country. The evals weren't the problem.
September 13, 20205 yr Brown is a better safety than Foster full stop. Foster's future, anywhere he goes, is to be closer to the LOS . Im confident the staff wants him there, so his playing time issues are his own
