The pass rush has been noticeably better this year and they’re absolutely letting the DL get after it. If you think they’re coaching/scheming the DL the same as last year then I’m not sure what games

Not sure if y'all were paying attention, but Florida did the exact same thing to us last year. They ran for over 200 yards last year despite being down big the entire game.

Lot of that was in garbage time last year. To be honest the defense getting punked was more worrisome, than the offense. I thought that was something Texas could rely on. Watson needs a little time in the weight room. He is quick, but he gets put on skates vs higher end competition (OSU/Florida). More of a pass rush guy. I was surprised by the lack of a pass rush, though more surprised PK played contain on a lot of the the pass rush with Lagway limping around. The RT had been really bad all season, Texas did not go after him.

I thought it was weird that Collin Simmons made four plays all game, and they were in a row.  Memory is a tad fuzzy, so I may have missed a play or two, but the point kind of still stands.

They got pushed around by Florida's O line. They don’t get off blocks. It happened during our three scrimmage games too but it wasn’t as glaring.

#Texas freshman EDGE Lance Jackson (87.0) was the highest graded Longhorn in the win over OU, per PFF. QB Arch Manning (86.5) was the highest graded player on the offensive side of the football.

Lance Jackson had a team-high 87 PFF grade In just 11 snaps, Jackson had the second-most pressures on the team (4), hit the QB twice and had one of Texas' 9 sacks. We're talking about an ELITE game from the true freshman https://t.co/8hIDbHz2KS

In a big mea culpa… I laughed repeatedly at Ian Boyd saying in the offseason that Kanu would be a starter for us. Just based on who we brought in, I didn’t see that happening at all. He’s our best DT right now, IMO.

Did Shaw play against OU? I don’t remember seeing him.

Shaw and Brevard get more snaps against running teams.  We have better pass rushing DTs.

I feel like Spence was disruptive as hell and had his nose in everything today.

He had an excellent open field tackle that I thought for sure he was gonna whiff.

I was just praying for him to get enough of the guy for help to arrive, instead he stood the Vandy guy's ass up! Perfect form tackle.
