Let's say he corrects that, then what? Spencer Sanders at OKST held the ball too long the first year or two of his career and caused a lot of turnovers. He got way better his last two years. A good QB coach could help Shedeur with that I think.

August 26Aug 26 Colorado didn't exactly have the most modern cutting edge NFL-type offense. They didn't really need it. Wasn't what they do. That doesn't work in Shedeur's favor in his rookie NFL season. He will have some time to sit back and learn and try to figure it out. Don't be surprised to see him get forced into action at some point this season when things don't go well.

I commented before he pre-snap reads and post snap progressions are terrible. The red line us where Shadeur is looking the blue arrows are where his receivers are going the yellow is open field and what I think is a LB behind on 87 Sal Canella (cut yesterday). So even IF the ball was up, he doesn't see the currently open TE and one potentially running into open space. At this point in the pic he should be at the end of his release to 87 which appears would have gotten 8-12 yards or to the WR about to be in open space. He's looking at 93 about to come unblocked. If he had the ball ready to go, 93 wouldn't be a concern. All of it plays together. He has bad habits that he needs to get out of quickly... He's not Kenny Pickett (who, imo, just can't execute physically.)

Further, if a QB is LOOKING at a how a specific OL is doing against a particular DL, he shouldn't be starting for a P4 team much less NFL. As far as bad habits, there we agree. He has a lot of them and they've been taught to him his entire life. They are built to create good numbers for QBs in high school and maybe college. Manufactured numbers if you like. A QB doesn't quickly get out of habits trained into them since peewee football and throughout college by the same coach. Moreover, the NFL isn't the place to do so. Shaduer's entire muscle memory and QB instinct/process has to be rebuilt from the ground up. Maybe some coaching staff in the CFL has time to do such, but that requires a QB with the humility to accept that reality.

That's without getting into the ongoing off-the-field shitshow that doesn't lend itself towards playing the most important position in the most competive professional sports league in the world. Dragging two of the best four QBs in the league into the discussion is hysterical. In what universe is there any sliver of a possibility that Sheduer winds up as good as Allen or Lamar? He'd be lucky to wind up as good as Teddy Bridgewater at this point. This entire saga and all of its inane, race-baiting discourse needs to die in a fire. On Tuesday, CU announced that Ralphie VI, nicknamed Ember, is retiring. In a press release, CU said, “Due to an indifference to running, typical of many mammals both four-legged and two-legged, it was determined that it was in Ember’s best interest, based on her disposition, to focus on relaxing strolls on the pasture, which is her favorite hobby.” “In the interim, the Buffaloes football team will take the field without the university’s beloved live mascot,” CU said in a release. Ralphie VI will now move into a “companion buffalo role,” per CU’s press release, and live with Ralphie V on their ranch. “Ember has been excellent in many aspects of her role as Ralphie, but she’s happiest relaxing on the ranch and we want to be respectful of her wishes,” said Taylor Stratton, director of the Ralphie Live Mascot Program. “She will continue to get the same top level of love and care that all of our Ralphies receive and will enjoy socializing with Ralphie V.”
