November 2Nov 2 "Seems to be some traction" sure sounds like some vague noncommital word salad someone might shit out to drive engagement to their account.

I suggested on the LSU thread I'd love to see Ed O at UCLA, not sure if that or Deion at LSU would be a bigger culture clash. But yeah.. that's a mad vague comment which doesn't even had the nutsaxk to say which team.
November 2Nov 2 Popular Post I'm just trying to figure out if those of us who said he is a mid coach getting too much attention just because of the flash with no substance and pointed out his history with things like Prime Prep were only saying it because we were jealous.

November 2Nov 2 This was always the end game. He'd coach his sons and hunter for a couple of years, get his buddies some coaching gigs(which isn't limited to Deion, all coaches do that), and then see what happens. He got them some press, got his son drafted, and a heisman so good for Colorado but some of us knew what would happen and here we are. Not withstanding the health issues, my guess is this is too much work/grind for Deion if his sons are not involved.
November 2Nov 2 When they win out the rest of the season and become bowl eligible it will be an ESPN 30-30 and all the ball lickers will be back pontificating on this thread.

Not withstanding the health issues, my guess is this is too much work/grind for Deion if his sons are not involved. If anyone cares to go back (I don't), there was a pretty large Surly contingent (I was one) that consistently predicted that shortly after his sons were gone Deion would move on to a new grift. Deion brought a lot of attention and increased enrollment to CU. Put a lot of butts in seats. This was a good experiment and financially successful for CU, but the music has stopped and the media has stopped really caring. Deion has achieved his goals (in his own mind) and I really don't think he gives a shit anymore. At this point the clock is ticking on his time in Boulder. He'll take the checks until one side or the other says enough and then it will quietly slip into the past, as will any CU football success. I, for one, am a bit sad my entertaining Telenovela is coming to an end, but always knew it was just a matter of time. Edited November 2Nov 2 by BurntEyes

November 2Nov 2 One of my least favorite players ever. Hot dog. He, Jerry Jones, and Barry Switzer made it easy to cease caring about the Cowboys. Then Bud Adams moved the Oilers which allowed me to give up the NFL altogether. If he stays in coaching, only another desperate program will hire him. He won't want the come down.
November 2Nov 2 Deion: "I. Don't. Doubt. Me." Everyone: uhhh...thanks Deion, but I don't think anyone was confused about your opinion regarding your coaching skills.

November 2Nov 2 He is going to "have" to medically retire from coaching here soon. Will get all sorts of media attention about his health and will let Colorado off the hook as they come to some "retirement" agreement...
