A couple buddies and I went out to Horseshoe Bay to play a round of golf and ate at Double Horn Brewery in Marble Falls beforehand.

Holy moly was it good. I got the chicken fried steak and it was perfect - fairly thick (for a CFS), lightly breaded. Gravy was spot on. A couple of the pale ales to wash it down. Friend got the bison burger and he raved about it. We all got some fried pickles to start and they were pretty legit too - cut real thin, which I like.

If you're ever out that way, skip Bluebonnet Cafe and go here instead. It's so much better.

I went there maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I don't remember anything particularly notable about the beer one way or the other but you are correct, the food was outstanding.
