  • I really don’t care what your political views are.  Personally, I would classify myself as a center right Republican if I had to put a label on it.  We need more fiscal responsibility than either part

  • Funny thing  is, I am a speech therapist, and what Biden has overcome as a stutterer is nothing short of heroic. It may present as bumbling or "dumb" but his strategies to see through dyslfluecies is

By "Foreign Policy Debate" he means let my guy yell uncontrollably for an hour about Hunter Biden.

I think everyone is fine with the debate being cancelled.  It is hilarious that Trump is backing out because he doesn't want to get trounced again by the guy he spent the last 6 months calling senile.  His own campaign staff knows another debate is going to cost him another couple of points in the polls.

Throwing out the fact that Trump is an ass, I do kind of sympathize with the position that there should be more foreign policy and if this was supposed to be the foreign poliyc debate, and those are the topics, it's worth a little bitching about.

The topics have been changed around a bit because we missed out on a second debate.

My immediate reaction as well. And fine. There's literally zero reason for Biden to participate in this debate. There's no upside, and a non-zero chance Trump will try to rush over and punch him or have someone try to infect him with Covid. His crowd will show up with now masks and comically coughing up into the air and smirking. Fuck that.

Makes me think of all those stupid people who thought Biden would go out there and perform 1 million gaffes. Now trump is the one running from debates.

This is 100% accurate.

Yeah he’s backing out.

tbh it's probably the best move for his campaign, but this is just grandstanding. Trump loves the camera and isn't listening to anyone.

So the guy campaigning on America First wants to get out of talking about America first. Got it.

Par for the course with dotard

Seriously. I hope the coward backs out so he can go cocoon himself in his safe space of Twitter followers and FOX News clips to await his Nov. 3 ass-kicking like the sniveling piece of shit he is.

#2415

I managed 30 minutes on the first one. I feel I endured more than enough.

I'll get the talking points through SNL and this website.

No doubt Stepien is laying the groundwork for Dotard to back out.  And I'm just torn on whether that's a good move or bad.  For any conventional politician, it'd be a bad move.  Trump needs to make up ground, and there just aren't many ways left to generate the headlines necessary to make up the 5-6 points that he needs.  Missing out on a debate eliminates one of those ways.

On the flip side, Trump isn't a conventional politician.  The high likelihood is that he'd hurt himself by, oh, I don't know . . . refusing to reject Qanon.  So from that standpoint, maybe it's a good call for him to cancel the debate.

NEVER ARGUE WITH STUPID PEOPLE. THEY WILL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE

The topics could be cat foods and netflix shows and Trump would still only talk about Hunter Biden, Obamagate, crooked media, etc.., not sure why they would care what the topics Trump is not going to stick to anyways are.

I'm betting Trump somehow wriggles out of thursday. Covid relapse? Maybe.

Covid? Never. That doesn't fit his strong guy image. He'll cancel because he's always treated unfairly or some other victim status pretend reason

They are changing the debate rules simply because the President cannot behave like an adult.
Shit’s wild.

This. It’s on par with having to put up a barrier to keep the candidates from hitting each other with flung shit. And there’s only one shit flinger.

Pathetic. Our country is pathetic.
#2439

this is going to make it worse.  Trump will be flapping his fat jowls at Biden and we won't be able to hear him.

Shock collars. There I said it. Poetic justice for all of the "dog" comments Trump has said over the years.

I agree. He’ll be throwing Biden off and we won’t even be able to know why Biden is stumbling.

Might be fun to watch Trump yelling and gesticulating... getting all red and slobbery with anger... and not hear a word.

All they have to do is split screen to show Trump screaming like an infant while Biden is talking.

Actually, it looks like they’re giving Trump plenty of time to interrupt in “open discussion.”

Declaring ahead of time that he'll bring up Hunter Biden is putting it on a tee for Joe. Biden has made a killing by seeming like the empathetic foil to Trump's sociopath. Just a little preparation for this line of attack should wrap up the election for him.
