19; I figured it would be a lot higher. There’s a lot of shit normal people like that I won’t touch....

0?

Maybe 1 on the basis of grapefruit. I can't think of a reason for me to eat grapefruit.

I guess zero since I've had everything on the list.  Some I wouldn't necessarily rush back to, but I'd eat anything on the list.

With the exception of liver, tofu, asparagus, beets, nutella, and snails, I've had everything on the list in the last couple months.

Shit, I'm only 9 and I consider myself picky or not adventurous.

And I would eat and have eaten most of the 9, I just prefer not to./bartleby

This. I was a 1 because I don’t drink coffee. I’ll try any food once (except bat now I guess). Life’s too short to limit yourself so much.

Zero. Was close on canned tuna but a tuna salad sandwich made from canned can be ok.

5

canned tuna

nutella

Tofu

liver

Blue Cheese

ive has all of those, but try really really damn hard to not eat them if I don’t have to

17.  I've always thought I was picky but I've expanded a lot the last few years.

7 I think. There's a couple I don't remember if I've ever tried, and I'll try most things at least once.

One. Cucumber. There’s maybe 10 more that I’d only enjoy with certain preparations, so for instance I won’t eat raw pineapple but there’s plenty of dishes where it is an ingredient that I would eat.

I've had them all, don't care for raw fish or cooked fish.  Crab...fine, shrimp....fine but plain old fish.  Pass.

Fuck brussel sprouts and beets. That's 2 that I won't budge on.

My perspective has changed since I've had the good fortune of becoming great friends with a world class executive chef. His dinners are epic. He could serve up my high school gym shoe and I'd ask for seconds.

There’s a place in town that chars fresh Brussel sprouts halves then drizzles them with molassses. Only time I’ve ever liked sprouts and it’s fucking delicious.

edit: found this on their online menu

Fried Brussels Sprouts
Shaved green apple, bacon, pistachio, bourbon honey molasses gastrique

Actually, yeah. Fuck beets. That's 2 I guess.

On the liver item, not a fan of liver in the liver and onions sense. But a liver paté - hell yeah.

0 though i'm not a fan of shredded coconut, which is how you usually find it.

0. There’s nothing weird on that list. Maybe you get a pass on 1-2 in that list. More than that and you’re a high maintenance eater who’d be as annoying as a vegan to dine with.

Zero.

Bake your beets. The beet is the most intense vegetable. It has passion, but not the cold passion of the radish.

-0- None of that is even close to bizarre.  Our kids were eating all of that shit when they were young uns.

I'm more fun than anyone in your entire family tree to dine with and I have 19; I don't have to outrun the bear, I just have to outrun nutella...

What is your score?

Brussel Sprouts- rotten lettuce

Liver- goes on a hook, to catch decent food

Raw Fish, although I keep trying on some tuna poke.  Just can't get there.

Oysters- hate em.

cauliflower- might as well be packing foam.

snails?  IDK.  never had em.

score of 6, or 5 without the snails.

Try salmon poke.

Not eating liver, tofu, raw fish, or snails

tofu in some hot &sour soup is good.  Granted, I like the style that still has some shredded chicken or pork in there too.  The tofu is more a starch to me than a protein substitute.

Liver is my only no. Others, like beets, it would depend on how they are prepared.

I’m kind of picky, but I’ve accepted that.

Interesting list. I'll eat it all except ketchup and ranch. Those condiments are terrible. Nutella doesn't suck but I won't ever buy it.

Yeah, for me, if I get to choose prep or form, pretty close to zero.  Really mayo and ketchup.  And I could choke em down, I just would almost never voluntarily put them on anything.

Edited by TwiceHorn

I'm out on Mayo and Liver because unlike some of you, I'm not a fan of old cock.  But to each his own...

This. So much of people's food preferences is really a preference for the preparation.

And this. That list is incredibly "sheltered privileged person."
