October 30, 20232 yr With the proliferation of the spread offense into the Big 12 around 2007, the league thought that having games in the 40s would make for compelling TV. It turns out they were wrong, just like they have been wrong for the majority of their existence.

October 30, 20232 yr The same d-line that pushed Alabama around suddenly cannot get any pressure within conference play. I guess all conference opponents have perfect offensive lines.

It’s not even close to debatable. what I think would be even more telling would be the stats of total penalties called the week before a team plays Texas, and the week after they play Texas, vs their calls vs Texas. and maybe even delve in more detail and show the number of holds/DPI thrown in those before and after games. If the stats show what we think they do, that would be a hell of a fucking story for a reporter to make. especially if its as blatant as 4-5 more penalties called per game not playing Texas with at least 1 hold/DPI vs the week they played Texas, getting none.
October 31, 20232 yr Class action lawsuit for gambling losses? This indicates a fraud is occurring. Any lawyers want to take this on?
October 31, 20232 yr it seems the big 12 just doesn’t call penalties. 11 of 14 are 90+ for opponent penalties per game. OU, BYU and West Virginia are the exceptions Edited October 31, 20232 yr by bigcigar

October 31, 20232 yr Or just having a meeting on the field to discuss a flag that was thrown... Only to pick it up and maybe not even announce anything after. "missed by the officials"

October 31, 20232 yr 2008 Tech was probably 2nd worst behind 2015 OSU. How soon we forget. Legit NFL defensive linemen we had.
October 31, 20232 yr 2015 was different because it was blatant for what they actually called. They called back multiple TDs and big plays, then basically gifted OSU the game winner. Don't think I'll ever see anything like it again. Edited October 31, 20232 yr by JBJ
October 31, 20232 yr Yeah 2015 wasn't just a bunch of bad calls. There was clearly an objective motive in that game and they didn't even try to hide it.

October 31, 20232 yr Fuckery will be afoot in our game as well as the OU game this weekend I can guarantee it. It's the weekend the Big 12 can practically eliminate both programs from Big 12 title game.
October 31, 20232 yr I mean, in OU's defense, it was a record number of penalties against OU in the Kansas loss. I didn't watch the game, but looking at that, seems a bit lopsided.

As if to say see we call that all the time. I haven't seen it called since then on anyone.
