October 31, 20232 yr I was at the 2015 game. I remember after the defensive holding call, I was yelling so hard I almost passed out. Felt a pain down my arm, my head got light, and the world started spinning. Then i got chest pain. It all went away after I sat down for a minute. I was 30 at the time and legit thought I was gonna die right there, in Section 1, Row 61. My wife still doesnt let me live it down /csb

I’m not certain on the rules there, but does he have to re-establish in bounds before he can touch it or before he can make a legal catch? If the latter, he sort of does re-establish himself in-play due to the bobble. Half the time time in this fucking conference it seems pretty clear that the refs also don’t completely understand the rules, so if they did fuck up that call I wouldn’t be shocked.

November 1, 20232 yr It's the Yormark trademark: throw a holding flag when you know it'll get declined, like a 3rd and 20 incomplete well outside FG distance. You know they'll decline, but it's showing the refs really care.

In addition, the 'didn’t get any calls' is absolutely incorrect. IDK what happened during the rain delay, but EVERYTHING was being called towards the Sooners (even though they were fucking around) during that. There was a 'sack' / incomplete pass on a 4th down in that was never reviewed even though it looked like a fumble to me. The 'stopped forward progress' that negated an obvious fumble that led to a tying TD (I believe it made it 14-14?) was absolute fuckery.

November 1, 20232 yr With all due respect for the pearl-clutching "Harbaugh Cheats11!!1" going on in another thread, the ref fuckery revolving around failure to call holding, even when it devolves to mugging and outright tackling, seems like a far greater issue. The only thing that comes to mind, as far as curing that illness, would be to require the five OL players to wear "clubs" like we see occasionally on LB and DB players with broken hand issues. That still wouldn't stop some of the stuff, but at least they wouldn't be able to grab jerseys or get inside face masks.
