October 8, 20205 yr I’m really trying to enjoy this game but the Pence fly meme’s are really distracting me.

October 8, 20205 yr Padres are done. They aren't winning 3 in a row. Edited October 8, 20205 yr by clapclapclap
October 8, 20205 yr Close call there in the 9th. Hopefully close it out tonight.I got tickets to NLCS game 1. This will be my first Dodgers postseason game since 2016 NLCS game 2 when the Dodgers beat the Cubs 1-0 at Wrigley. That was a tense game.

October 8, 20205 yr Talk now of using May in the closer role. What's more valuable, given the zero breaks (i.e. 7 games in 7 days possibly)- a 4th starter or a solid closer?

October 8, 20205 yr I agree, a 4th starter is more valuable. Has he ever pitched out of the bullpen multiple days in a row? If not, I wouldn't want to try that for the first time in the playoffs either.

Tempting fate would be throwing Jansen out there ever again in these playoffs in anything resembling a save situation. And Joe Kelly sure isn't an option. So only Treinen really has closer experience. But I will say watching Graterol's antics makes me think he has a closer's mentality. Maybe not this year, but could be the closer of the future. Thank you Kenley for your service. Now hit the showers.

October 9, 20205 yr I missed the first inning. I assume May’s one inning was by design, since he didn’t give up a run. No injury or anything, right?

October 9, 20205 yr Padres pitching staff is just too trash to beat a team like the Dodgers. Hopefully the Braves at least give them a scare.
October 9, 20205 yr And Turner now the Dodger postseason leader In hits, passing Garvey. Good for him. Garvey was my favorite player BY FAR growing up.
October 9, 20205 yr Richards huh. I don't think he fully understands this Slam Diego thing so getcha popcorn ready

October 9, 20205 yr I like how there is very little celebration after the win. We’re only half way home.

October 9, 20205 yr You’ll get yours in due time.It was actually a legit question because i couldn't find a Dodger only list but....

Bellinger has sucked in the playoffs. 37% strikeout rate. .610 OPS On a side note, I didn’t realize how bad Brett Gardner has been in the postseason. .576 OPShttps://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/which-batter-has-the-most-career-strikeouts-in-the-playoffs Edited October 9, 20205 yr by TonyTexas
October 9, 20205 yr Actually he doesn't....I thought I had seen he already had 57 prior to yesterday's game, but I guess I was drunk
October 9, 20205 yr 2 hours ago, Scraps said: It was actually a legit question because i couldn't find a Dodger only list but.... He’s still batting .316 for the postseason. But this team isn’t dependent on any one or two players. The depth is what makes this team so tough. Any player is capable of being a series MVP. Shit Will Smith became the first Dodger in postseason history to have a 5 hit game.
October 9, 20205 yr Well hot damn! If yall make it to the WS he may actually hit .200 since he thrives on the biggest stage now. Glad to see him making strides
