I think the bigger question is why Weigman isn't in the portal yet.

1) Loses his most talented and best WR returning.

2) The OL is still a hot fucking mess with no additions yet in the portal.

3) Klein's system is not a fit.

Somebody needs to talk sense to that kid and his family.

So the aggy WR room next year is going to be a bunch of FCS/g5 transfers?  Lulz, why is Mooose Muhammed even still around?

Moose Muhammad perplexes me more than Evan Stewart. Moose has his dad to guide him, and I think he’s more talented and reliable than E-Stew. But apparently he’s willing to play his final year in the KSU offense, with the slovenly Elk as his head coach? At what point does Moose Sr tell him to get the hell out of there?

C-Wiggy is probably still sitting on the bench, waiting to go back into the Appalachian State game.

aggy is really going to run it back with that same OL.

Some good news for Texas A&M:A&M standout freshman offensive lineman Chase Bisontis, who entered the transfer portal Dec. 6, has withdrawn his name from the portal, @chris_hummer and I have learned for @247Sports https://t.co/RFR3u39Sly

This is even better news for opposing DL draft tape.

When “pursuing other opportunities” brings to light that there are no other opportunities.

They need to move Bisontis to guard. He might be decent there.

At tackle, it's going to continue being a disaster. He simply doesn't have the mobility in pass pro to play tackle.

I don’t disagree, but (taking into account that I haven’t watched A&M for more than entertainment this year), I have to think the options behind him at tackle were even worse. Maybe if A&M hires a new staff they’ll reach a different conclusion.

Trying to play offensive line in the SEC with short arms and slow feet is his main problem.

If you've been following along @texags you've known things have been trending favorably with Chase Bisontis. One of the most talented young players on the roster and getting the big man back is a big deal. The Jersey native will be welcomed back with open arms.

Absolutely terrifying for aggy if he’s one of their most talented young players. Didn’t PFF grade him as one of the worst OL in the country?

#8614

I just remember Bisontis and Foster in the Tennessee game. That was some of the worst pass blocking I've ever seen. Just horrific.

Here is Texas A&M's offensive line pass blocking grades from the Tennessee game, per PFF: RG Layden Robinson - 59.8LG Kam Dewberry - 58.2LT Trey Zuhn III - 45.8LG Mark Nabou Jr. - 42.6RT Chase Bisontis - 23.4C Bryce Foster - 16.7RT Dametrious Crownover - 0.0The Aggies…

Well, Colt was born in NM, so we'll count him for just a second. But that man is as Texas as Texas gets.

If we’re doing that, then Roger Staubach attended and played at NMMI.
But neither Roger or Colt played HSFB in NM. The list of successful QBs who played HSFB in NM is very, very short.

I wonder if Bisontis has been practicing with the team. No matter how bad he is, he's a starter for them. Can you imagine the talent that's backing him up?

Bisontis enters portal:

Ags: "Not a big deal, disappointing overall. Maybe good like 3 years later whatever."

Bisontis returns:

Ags: "Huge get. Major win. #Plan2024!"

Speaking of welcoming Bisontits back with open arms, if Elko comes in for a hug, is Bisontits even able to get his dinosaur arms around Elko's ample frame?

He was bad but my impression is that he got better over the year. He was a true freshman who got thrown into the SEC meat grinder without even a redshirt year to get stronger.

How very dare you! This is no place for measured, reasonable takes.

#8646

"SEC meat grinder" (eyeroll gif goes here) doesn't really apply when your major issue is that you can't consistently get your hands on anyone in pass protection. His run blocking (yar SEC trenches so strong yar) was better than his pass blocking.

Not to mention their SEC schedule wasn't actually that hard. It was pretty much as tough as a .500 Big 12 team faced in conference this year. The point that Bisontis was thrown into a tough spot is accurate. But this SEC bullshit is already pervasive around here.

there is still plenty of time for him to get in/join. almost 2 full weeks. there is going to be a large second wave after the bowl games.

or they actually paid him, but if they had one would think their shitty NIL collective would have put something out.

A&M's game is on 12/27 btw
