If Coach Herman is still at the helm next year, albeit a “hot seat” year, he should go no further for his defensive woes, and hire Gary Joseph (HC from Katy).

The schemes seen in today’s Big 12 are seen in the HS level every week. His teams might not have the most “athletic” players, but his defenses are ALWAYS fundamentally sound!

Even if he has to keep Ash on the payroll, just adding Gary to the coaches meeting rooms, would fundamentally be an asset to our team. Over his decades of TXHS football, at the highest level, he has seen it all! Rarely, and I mean rarely are his defenses “lost in space” like we’ve seen on Saturday’s, especially over the last 10+ years.

It would also be an instate recruiting play, because all of the states coaches know that we’d hired one of their own and they’d support that move.

Hi, Gary.

He sounds like the kind of guy who only selects Cover 2 and Cover 3 in Madden.

I'm as pissed as everyone at how much our defense sucks, but you can't hire a new DC, give him a shit covid offseason and players he didn't recruit, and then start looking for your next DC after 2 bad games. That's not good for the players or the program.

We are 4-1 in our last 5 games with a 2 point L. But it sure feels like this team hasn’t won in 5 weeks.

Because the head coach is a fucking pussy.
