Do you want to add Surly tags for degree holders?

You know Texags had pieces of flair they make the non-graduates wear.

What if I told you... I attended classes at UT one fewer semesters than Kevin Durant?

More of a brooch, really

I'd be more curious to know how many have had a mid-life crisis, and pondered  the idea of taking a semester or two at Texas State, just to hang around the coeds.

I would never go to a school much less graduate from a school that has such a racist school song.

Does dropping out midway through my first semester at UT Dallas count?

Do you need a roommate?

I went to University of The Aleutians, Class of '79.

What if I told you...you're wrong.

I spent a few summers living in the Dobie Center for high school debate camp.  It was my first time to drop acid too. Does that count?

And what did you do that one time at debate camp?

I did it bigger than that.

csb - back when I worked for an IBM business partner, there was an IBM'er that everyone said was gonna be the next CEO of IBM.  Young guy but not too young, looks good in a suit (NTTAWWT), tall, well spoken, typically gregarious.  Sales guy of course. We're at a company golf outing and he's there and I see that he has Longhorn headcovers.  So of course, I go over, tell him I'm a Longhorn too, ask him when he was there, if he'd been back to Austin lately, all that stuff you do when you see a fellow Horn.  He basically gives me the silent treatment, mumbles a couple of responses.  I think, whatever dick, you think you're better than me, piss off.  FF a couple weeks he comes across my LinkedIn feed and his degree is from UT-D.

I visited Austin once for a night when driving down to Padre for spring break in 2003. It was a good time and the campus was beautiful.

Other than being a fairly reliable football win for K-State, that's the only tie I have to UT.

I got a parking permit this year.  Is that anything?  Of course there’s no cars on campus so may not be as cool as i thought.

I have one.

Do I know where it is?  Nope.  Not sure I ever took it out of the envelope and I've moved 5 times since I got it.

There’s a good chance after five moves, it may have expired.  But take solace in the fact that you could still get library checkout privileges.  But you gotta really know somebody to have access to the periodicals.

Got my degree in 3 years and got out before I turned 21.  Why? Because I'm a fucking idiot.

Ya big dummy.

I, on the other hand, went to law school, which almost ruined it all for me.  I sometimes wonder if an engineering graduate degree would have been a better move.  Only a year or two and no law students.

I’d have gone to law school there if not for the baseball team. Long story again related to me being a dumbass. At least I didn’t miss the national title I was convinced was gonna happen in 2001.

You dumped your wife and married one of those coeds?

I somehow graduated from UT while attending roughly 8.6% of my classes through 4.5 years.

Couple degrees -five years, 2 summers. Shoulda spaced that out a couple of more years, especially knowing how fucking cheap it was in the early 90's. Fucked up by listening to responsible people who encouraged "graduation" and "getting a job". Fuck you parents.

I didn't, was too big of a screw up, but I'm proud to say that I paid for two degrees for my beautiful, bleed burnt orange daughters.  If nothing else in this life, I can say I raised them right.

He let NowThis use the flute

Bill Cosby has over 50 honorary degrees, 3 from the state of texas, including from baylor university...for the ultimate lol

That is actually quite humorous, the degree from Baylor.  I wonder how many of those 50 have been rescinded.

Fun bar trivia---no institution in the UT System gives out honorary degrees.  But that doesn't mean none of them ever did.  For a ride in a slightly used Corvette and a decent handjob---who can tell us the last honorary degree granted by a UT System university?  (hint, the school was not a part of UT System at the time)

I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that.  You should probably lay low for awhile.

Rocko?

I only lurk, but since you asked, no. Accepted but chose the small private college route. Dad graduated from UT, wife got her masters there, and my son is a freshman this fall.

I have a degree from UT.  I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty embarrassed that one of the worst posters on this site (I'm looking at you OP) has one too.

Goddamn greenspoint is a whiny bitch.

I am betting he is an only child too. Just petulant.

And yes, I have two degrees from Texas. [emoji2371]

I was such a mess coming out of high school that my family had to money whip Baylor into taking me. I don't remember if I applied to Texas.
