I added a new caching layer and a few additional webservers on the balancer. Let me know if you think the site is performing better/faster today. Its been a lot snappier for me, but I'll defer to you all to let me know if that's just confirmation bias from my side.

Response time on http requests is down on my dashboard, but just wondering what your experience is.

Yeah. It does. I feel like I was about to think that then I saw your post.

Thanks man.

The board is indeed flying today. Between your tweaks and my recent WiFi upgrade, I can scroll through mind-numbingly ignorant posts faster than ever before.

Funny enough, this thread page took the longest to load.

It will really be put to the test this afternoon when all 7 posters that still give a fuck about the game start rage posting when we fall behind Baylor.

Let's see if it passes the "Tom Herman Fucking Sucks And Is Shitting The Bed" stress test here in 4 hours

I was actually prepping for the loss and Tom Herman being fired. The board will not go down today if that happens. I've got additional servers I can add if needed in waiting.

But will you be prepared when they announce the Urban Meyer hire?

Posting comments is hanging up for me and resulting in some double posts site side. Not sure if the hangup is on my end or what.

@immamac I think it has to do with the site not auto refreshing. When it hangs up and I manually refresh it sends the comment and responds more quickly.

FYI; Twitter links are snagging.

I just noticed that it took a while for a comment to post.  But while I'm at it -- RIP JJW.  What was his Surly handle?

I noticed the difference before I saw this.  I wasn’t sure if it was the site or the fact that I subscribed to PCmatic.com recently.

I’m having to delete the twitter link and re-paste it multiple times before it’ll show up.

I see ZERO difference with my 9600 baud modem.

Slow AF this morning when making a post.  Then you reopen the thread and it's a double post.

Yeah site is double posting like a motherfucker.

Site's a bit like a Tom Herman coached team at the moment.  Questionable game plan, iffy start.

Looking into it today. Got too drunk to type yesterday

so I've enabled sticky sessions via a cookie. On your non-mobile browser you can check your cookies, look for one called SERVERID

if you don't like your server or think it's slow then you can edit the cookie or you can delete it and a new server will be assigned. I'm hoping this gets rid of the double posting.

there's 4 servers active right now

Everytime I use the gif function here, it loads super slow. Does anyone have the same problem?

I need to make a "which server am I on" button and put it on the bottom of each page. I'm gonna do that now, but while I'm doing that do you have any idea how to check your cookies? If you do there is one for this site called SERVERID and it will have a server name.

I've noticed some occasional slowdowns and 5XX's while browsing on my phone - that button would be bueno for mobile where I don't want to learn how to look up my cookies on my phone lol
