That “majority” has been remembered as something that never actually existed. Let's clear that all up, shall we? Starting January 2009, at the beginning of the 111th Congress, in the month that Bara

I'd pay good money to watch Big John Fetterman beat Steve Bannon to death with Roger Stone.

I really really liked Fetterman before the stroke; he was one of the best prospects the Dems have had in awhile, but goddam the clips I have seen of the debate are brutal.  The man could not effectively communicate.  I still fervently hope he wins, Oz is a grifting ghoul.  But this debate will (and probably should) hurt Fetterman.

This isn’t a win for Fetterman.  Oz’s abortion gaffe still puts him more centered than most pro life Republican candidates simply by paying lip service to it being a choice between a woman and her doctor (even if he also threw in politicians) as opposed to just saying he thinks it’s always wrong to kill babies or something.  Clips of Fetterman stumbling like Herschel Walker - even if he has a valid excuse and even if it may be representative of a communicative issue rather than a cognitive issue - are going to hurt more. And sadly they’ll hurt Fetterman more than they would a Republican like Walker.

The Republicans will be merciless on putting this front and center, and it will permeate with the electorate there.  They’ll do to a much more sympathetic figure what the Democrats should have done to Herschel a long time ago.  Not just attacks, but nasty in your face attacks.

I think you guys are seriously overestimating the abortion issue. A ton of them love what’s going on with Roe overruled. Others don’t like it “but inflation” or “but socialism”. All in all I just don’t see it making a difference. If republicans take over we might as well just rip up the constitution and start over.

Abortion is towards the bottom of the list of key issues for voters according to polling I’ve seen. Tied with January 6th towards the bottom well behind inflation and crime. Those 2 issues are important to suburban women and they’ll most likely come back to the GOP fold. At least that’s my hope.

I think your read is wrong.

Are these polls ever so one sided?

Also, I guess this is where Chris Cuomo landed.

And this was probably more accurate than anyone thought at the time and much more relevant than Fetterman's debate performance

Meh.  My comment wasn’t wrong.  I said it would hurt him, not that it would cost him the race.  I think the debates/stroke did make that race closer than it otherwise would have been.

I argue it did not.

Prior to the debate, the polls (non-RW spam polls) showed a 4-6 point race in October.

CNN 51-45
Franklin & Marshall College 49-45
CBS 51-49 (no leaners)
YouGov 48-42
Siena/NYT 49-44

Then the debate happened a bunch of spam pollsters dropped a bunch of tied or Oz +2/3 polls except for the 3 legitimate pollsters who had Fetterman up 2, 3 and 6.

Fox News said 45-42

Fetterman won 51-46.6.   Pre-debate average in October: Fetterman +4.6.  Post-debate average: Fetterman +3.7.  Final outcome: Fetterman +4.4

I’m not gonna challenge your analysis.  You’ve earned the right to be petty.😂

Rick Scott challenging Mitch for minority leader.

I guess it's fitting that in America, 2 old white guys are fighting to be the crowned the leader of minorities.
