May 12, 20214 yr Rumors swirling that Bryce Thompson, 5-star transfer from KU, is going to commit to OSU. He didn't look all that good last year from what I saw, but potential is there. He's from Tulsa and we wanted him bad last year.
May 17, 20214 yr I am so thankful that he didn't transfer to UT. I hate watching players like that. Dude seems like a me-first douche.
May 18, 20214 yr That is a large development. He isn’t even on most draft boards so it seems he’ll likely be coming to Lawrence. Edited May 18, 20214 yr by Jhawk
June 7, 20214 yr Scott Sutton is moving to Director of Basketball Administration. I assume that's his choice. He's a huge coaching asset, not sure why he's moving off the court.
June 22, 20214 yr BAYLOR NEWS: Source: Matthew Mayer to withdraw from NBA draft, return to Baylor for senior season Baylor forward Matthew Mayer will withdraw from the NBA draft and return to school, a source told ESPN on Monday. Mayer was one of 69 players announced as having accepted an invite to attend the NBA combine in Chicago, which starts Tuesday, but has changed course and withdrawn his name from the event, a source told ESPN. The NCAA deadline for players to withdraw from the NBA draft and maintain college eligibility is July 7. Mayer, a 6-foot-9 junior, was ranked as the No. 63 prospect in the ESPN 100. He averaged 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 16 minutes per game for Baylor, which won the national championship in April. Mayer is expected to step into significantly more playing time next season, and making another deep tournament run with an expanded role would undoubtedly benefit his draft stock. Mayer should enter next season projected as a potential first-round pick and Big 12 Player of the Year candidate on a Baylor squad that returns several important pieces from last season and has added some real firepower in the offseason via the recruiting trail and transfer portal. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/31681219/source-matthew-mayer-withdraw-nba-draft-return-baylor-senior-season
July 6, 20214 yr Jakes Wilson and ochai agbaji returning to ku. If remy Martin doesn’t stay in the draft Ku has championship aspirations.
July 7, 20214 yr Remy Martin pulls out. KU loaded with experience and all-conference talent. College basketball as a whole is looking strong this year. Can’t wait.
July 7, 20214 yr Terrence Shannon, Jr. returning to play for Texas Tech Red Raiders, withdraws from NBA Draft (lubbockonline.com) This is absolutely huge news for Tech, couldn't ask for a better piece to help Adams & Co. get off to a good start.
July 7, 20214 yr Jon Rothstein had Tech at 45 without Shannon. Now he's bumped TTU up to 33: https://collegehoopstoday.com/index.php/rothstein-files/rothstein-45-early-edition-for-21-22/ Edited July 7, 20214 yr by Dirk X West
July 8, 20214 yr The game in Lubbock will be one of the most watched of the entire college basketball season.
July 8, 20214 yr Tech will finish the season in the Top 25. Before you Texas folks lose your minds, check out podcast 14 and take note of who predicted the better record for your Horns... and that was BEFORE the current roster was assembled.
July 8, 20214 yr Goodman being a hater isn't anything new, he was more or less the same while Beard was there.

July 8, 20214 yr Regarding Tech... Friend text that he placed some futures bets for NCAA champ. Went snooping around and found sites that had Tech with considerably better odds than Texas. 20/1 to 40/1. I thought maybe it was old info based on losing Brown, Jones, and Coleman. He checked his site and was Tech +2500, Texas +3000 What am I missing?

That doesn’t erase the fact that there is a massive culture change taking place within the program. That would be the only negative/opportunity I see with regard to the horns. were those odds for tech before or after Shannon made his announcement?
July 15, 20214 yr This is a heck of a pickup. All 4 of our transfer pickups this year were pretty incredible. Our roster is going to be loaded talent-wise top to bottom. Now lets see if they can play together and collectively replace or even outdo Cade's numbers.

This guy can grab the ball and dunk… but shot 32.4% from the free throw line! 👀 Averaged 6.6 pts and just over 6 rebounds a game, but seems to have a long way to go to learn to shoot the basketball.

He also had 4 double-doubles, so the talent and potential are there. Didn't notice the freethrow shooting, definitely gonna need to work on that. We lost a few games last year with shitty free throw shooting.
