Ricky was a freak, bro. Go watch some vids on him and refresh your memory. I had to do the same. He was every bit as great as the legend is told. We're just now seeing greatness like that again because it's been so long.

I think he meant “catching the ball out of the backfield”.

Bijan - 70 carries, 436 yards, 6.2 average

Hall - 87 carries, 436 yards, 4.9 average

Smith - 57 carries, 413 yards, 7.2 average

Smith has some crazy numbers, but they were primarily against Kansas, Texas State, and Texas Southern. I'll be curious if he keeps that up against better competition. Rice, Tech, and ULL aren't exactly murderer's row, but a definitely better than what Smith has faced.

Bijan carrying the ball in his left hand on that first TD v. Tech reminded me of Emmitt Smith.  Then I went and looked at Emmitt's highlights.  There are a lot of similarities, but Emmett had some huge holes to run through at Florida and Dallas.  Bijan makes his own holes, as it were.

Being 5'9 when everyone around you is 6'6 will make it look that way.

This has been my comp. Balance, elite vision, and the ability to get YAC. Emmitt with his hand slaps, and Bijan, well he's got a full tool kit of moves, stiff arms, and body contortions. Deceptive speed out of holes too

Dude is gonna get a lot of time in those new whirlpools this week. 35 carries, heck of a game

He’s the best player in the country. He just bailed Sark out.

Sark was smart enough to keep calling his number at least. Other coaches would have tried to get cute or stubbornly tried to keep throwing it.

105 carries, 650 yards now.

Or give half the carries to Keontay Ingram perhaps

MY bad. Cut off a row. 652 yards after 5 games. No fumbles.

I loved Ced. And Charles. Bijan is better.

Agreed, sure. But 4 extra points were there and, ya know, were important. Hook’em.

The question is if Bijan will work his way to the very top of the mountain in the end.

If we could build a Bama-like offensive line by next season then absolutely.

Thinking we need a new thread title.  What should I rename it?

Only thing Bijan lacks is elite speed. Vision, power, strength, agility, wiggle, etc, he's fucking unreal.  When the play is blocked for 2 yards, he'll get you 7.  If he stays healthy, he will play this game for a long time.

Same; I’m leaving on vacation at 5am tomorrow.

Herman should be kicked in the nuts daily for not giving Bijan 20-25 touches the minute he stepped foot on campus.  He has the same ability Ced had to always fall forward for extra yards except he is faster and more nimble.

Dude's the leader of the offense.  If he can withstand the workload he needs to average 25 carries a game.

Good news is we have studs behind him.   You can give him all the carries he wants and still have depth when he needs a breather.

I think Zach Evans is slightly more talented of a runner than bijan, but Bijans work ethic and ability to be a work horse make him a far better RB.

Watching Bamas Robinson, that dude is really good.  His blocking gets him about 10 yards before initial contact, imagine Bijan with similar instead of at the LOS.

Wrong. Zach, while talented, is just faster. You can't take Bijan down with 1 or 2 guys, he'll stop on a dime and make you pay. Zach can barely handle 15 carries a game, while Bijan had like 34 for 216 yards for over 6.3 ypc.

Time for a little controversy. I agree with the OP completely. Bijan should starts.

Absolutely not.
