Sunday morning college football at the Rose Bowl- Cal/UCLA on FS1

Featured Replies

Things going great for UCLA already. Blocked punt by Cal on the UCLA 18.

Wasn’t this game a last minute covid replacement?

Yes. Contrary to most other college football coaches who say they'll play anyone, anywhere but won't, these two teams actually did that. Defense stands tall for UCLA.

Nice defensive stand by Bruins there.

The Chip Kelly offense looks exactly like the 2009 Texas offense. Does the man realize it might be good to try to innovate? This is very Mike Leach at Ole Miss.

What a horrible throw.

What a fucking joke. Blocked punt and a pick. Just great

Lane Kiffin is at Ole Miss.  Mike Leach is at Miss St.

Right. Shows how little relevance those programs have that I confused them.

Going back to Wazzu, Leach never adapted his offense. It was the reason Washington whipped their asses repeatedly and why he's doing horribly in the SEC. Chip Kelly seems cut from the same cloth. I can't remember which poster is was but they really had a hard on for Texas hiring Chip Kelly, both pre and post Charlie.

Inject this bonus CFB directly into my veins

Nice spin.

That’s some Texas quality tackling there by Cal.  Fucking copy cats.

Ha. What terrible tackling by Cal. Should've had him stuffed for -5 and instead gives up 20

Refreshingly great call to go for it on 4th and goal.

DTR needs to throw as little as possible

I've been channel flipping between the sunny Rose Bowl and Augusta...f the nfl.

Nice drive, 14-3 Bruins

Maybe it was the fans being in attendance that was holding UCLA back? 😀

I'd agree, but there were very few of those in the stands by the end of last year

This game has featured a lot of tipped passes. Two turnovers on Cal from those, I believe.

UCLA looks like they have woken up.  I have to keep being reminded that these teams have played so little (or no) games at this point.

Little Nueheisel needs a fucking haircut. He looks like a woman

So is Cal really bad, or has UCLA started turning the corner to being pretty good again??

Looks like a little bit of both.

I think a little of both. If not for 4 first have turnovers against CU that we're all turned into points, the Bruins rolled it up pretty good and almost came back from waaay down. Problem is with DTR. Has talent, but in year 3 should be MUCH further along. His decision making is atrocious.

I take this post back. Cal seems to really suck...

They may. Garbers is better than he's playing. But it is their first game.

I do like this grad transfer RB Brown from Duke.. we needed a good back after losing Joshua Kelley to the Chargers.

This game turned out to be far better than expected. They should do this with some PAC teams weekly for those of us who only follow a few NFL teams and don't care about local/state teams.

Hopefully numbers come in that verify it’s worth it.  I’m enjoying it while I wait for my NFL game.

I thoroughly enjoyed that game and this Sunday morning CFB experience.

I've got my nfl game on only because I'm a Bucs fan and everyone wants to see Brady, so this is very unusual for me. I've been switching back and forth. But yeah, I hope the numbers show people will watch instead of the same nfl teams in your region you don't care about.
