200 day moving average around 407 for spy. Hell we may test that tomorrow.  There is a real decision I have on whether to sell at that time. After that it's 430 retest. What to do...

Challenge accepted.  And our unelected officials say “Hold my beer while I trade around our next monetary policy announcements”.

The best political stability is gridlock.

JPow wants it deep down, he just doesn’t want to admit it.  He’s here for the dank memes just like everyone else.

they liked core monthly inflation numbers (excluding energy and food) showing a look forward annual number below 4% (0.3% * 12 = 3.6%) and adding back energy and food it's still below 5% on an look forward basis (0.4% * 12 = 4.8%).

Yes markets like gridlock (they also like SOP politics not batshit crazy politics), but the major impetus was and is the Fed and inflation.

USD down/markets up (it takes more USD to buy securities priced in USD when USD loses value).

Good luck.

A win today is to hold yesterday's gains.

Bingo. No cocaine hangover = huge W

Today would seem like a pretty good ⬆️  day, if it wasn't human nature to compare it to yesterday.
It also shows why the Dow should not be used as a market indicator - it is antiquated, from when averages were calculated by hand, now you can have the entire market and any sector you want with instantaneous results. Those fucking boomers just refuse to give up the Dow as a bell weather

Smoke a joint.  Helps with the crash.  So I'm told.

yay! spy 400!

(i expect immediate profit taking ~ er loss harvesting, maybe)

Seems like it is a bit early for tax loss harvesting - I mean it isn't really, but that seems like a mid-late December thing for mutuals, ETF's and hedgies to jump into the water and froth it up a bit.

PPI came in better than expected. 0.2% MOM (0.4% expected), core PPI was 0.0% (0.3%).

Futures spiking.

What to do. What to do. Is this enough to push us past the 200 day moving average in the s and p and look to start a new bull market? Someone needs to tell me quick because we are hitting 407 today.

I was just about to post - Is it time to take something off the table, to buy Puts into this market rise, to sell calls into the rise or to sit here like Forrest Gump and just participate in the market while sitting with my thumb up my butt

You missed the real headline. They rehired Bob Iger to replace him. Market seems to like it.

If Iger fucks up Andor, there will be hell to pay. The series does not need his input or meddling.

I'll give him credit if they ever release the next season of The Mandalorian

Very generally speaking are spdr etfs solid or are they fee sinkholes?
