if holton had come back for a solid senior year with a few more picks and maybe didn’t have the character flags I don’t see how he’d get past day two in a 2019 draft, and very well could be 1st round as a 6’3” 205 lb corner.  but we’ll never know.

This year should make it obvious that Holton was never going to make it a whole year off the weed.

program is a dumpster fire and coaches are douche but still should have stayed to mature.

  • Hey don't knock it. That strategy will get them to the Texas Bowl.

Not as bad a year as you are having on Surly.

Dicko the punter aside...because punter.  It's a shame to watch Malik, Deshon, Holton etc because make no mistake.....you declare early and don't get drafted in rounds 1 or 2 you lost.  Congraultations, you are now a "second contract player....good luck"

I don't think Holton was going to get a lot out of trying to play school for another year, lets be honest.

The thing is that he's now shown under multiple college coaching staffs that he can't overcome those character issues.

Wasn't Malik projected to go early in the 1st round waaaaaaay before last season. Kiper or Mcshay had him going like 9th to the Saints.

Malik in the top 10 of the draft was always pure fantasy.

but remember that time he stuffed the running back in the backfield in south bend?  that was awesome.

Who cares what any mock draft says before October.... they're more like watch lists and pretty worthless for non top 10 players.  I don't remember Malik being in any respectable source's top 10.  Connor fell a little after the combine because of his arm length and weight mostly.

Plus his dealer graduates next month.

I will repeat what I said earlier. No offense to Minkah but Ronnie set him up for many of his plays. Ronnie is a better coverage safety and a harder hitter than Minkah. He just isn't as versatile as as Minkah

Huh???  That link simply goes to an index.  Who are you talking about and do you have a link?

Or maybe they were sick of being “student ath-O-letes” and they were ready to start making money from the craft they’ve been working on their whole life. Nobody knows what would’ve happened if they stay another year. I’ll never fault a player for leaving early, not playing in a meaningless bowl game, and looking out for their best interests.

bamachine obviously watched them more than I did, but I had the same thoughts about Harrison and Fitzpatrick.

Out of the 96 picks so far....8 have come from Big 12.   Pretty damn sad.

seems like the AFC North is getting 90% of them so far

Money rounds begin.  Panthers are on the clock.

Oh look, it's the guy that ESPN once said was better than Andre Johnson.

NFL isn't flag football.

A couple more picks and Dallas needs to move up for Shaquem Griffin, he is a double steal at this point.

Wow, Browns took Callaway.

and they moved up to take him.

I guess it stands for the number of drafteds each year.

Dorsey took Tyreek Hill higher than expected too..... He doesn't care much about character issues if it comes with elite talent.

Calloway & Gordon should be legendary together.  On and off the field.

Pretty much the only good player on Kansas' defense.

Of course the highlight of Armstrong stripping Swoopes, I just went back to a dark place.

Who cares, aggy?

"Durham Smythe" might be the least likely name for a football player in this draft.

Another TE gone, I wonder if Fumagli will be a Cowboy?

Heard they might not even take one.  With or without Witten, seems like they're not hugely concerned there.  They'll want someone who blocks as much, if not more, than receiving.

The ESPN draft highlight prep guy must be an aggy. They are constantly inserting highlights against Texas.

Jarvis Landry for Durham Smythe.

There's no instant, ready made starters at the position anymore.  They may go veteran on the cheap route for this year and then look for another next year if they don't feel Jarwin or Rico have made the jump.

My untrained eye thinks the Giants are having a superb draft. A+

They had the worst net punting average and worst punts downed inside the 20 last year. Maybe they'll take Dicko with their next pick (2nd pick of Round 5).
