Championship game of the tournament.  Texas is a 1-point favorite over the Tar Heels, on this "neutral" floor in the state of North Carolina.

Defense has looked great so far this year, let's see if it holds.  For those looking to take work off early...do it.

65 degrees at tip-off today, find an outside place to hoist a few in a socially distanced manner and enjoy this game.  As stated on another thread, we are 8-3 in our last 11 games with UNC.

No jinx.

Under normal circumstances I would chalk this up as a loss, but we seem to have North Carolina’s number in a strange way.

Why isn’t this in prime time?

Because tonight is #11 WV-#1 Gonzaga and #5 Illinois - #2 Baylor

A top 20 matchup isn't going to usurp a top 5 matchup and a top 11 matchup.

8-1 vs Roy Williams there, it makes absolutely no sense

Put it on the ocho. Just annoyed it’s up against afternoon football and I’ll be driving home at the end.

Dude I'm amped at tonight's games, just like last night's. Today is a good day.

Not sure where you're seeing Texas as a favorite. I'm seeing a pick on one book, Texas as a 1 point dog on the other.

This is how I feel.

I get to watch us, uninterrupted, this afternoon, and then watch 2 really good games tonight not involving Texas.

Same, my dude. My wife is working overnight, it's just me and the dogs and some damn good basketball. I couldn't be happier today.

Yeah my site has Texas +1 now, but looks like it opened with Texas -1

104.9 just finished LAYING into ESPN for letting Walton call games

Haven’t had a chance to watch much of UNC yet. What are their strengths? Are they gonna try to beat us up inside?

It’s needed.  Fuck ESPN for letting Walton call games.

It was the only line I could find this morning before sunrise.  Obviously, new shit has come to light man.  Sorry, these early season tournaments have late initial lines and they move quick and dirty since there's often just ~18 hours between games.  Plus my sportsbook in Vegas doesn't even go to bed until 7:00a central time.  Gimme a break.

I was just wondering where you got it from.

Honestly, cbssports.com and a coked-up bookie at 7:00a-CST.  Both had the same verified number, so I posted it.

I'm just happy there's good hoops to watch later this afternoon and that even if we lose, we'll never do as bad in this tourney as we did the time we lost to Chaminade.

Started as a pk but has moved UT -1.

Yeah seems like it's TX +1 to TX -1 depending on where you're looking. Meaning it's effectively a pickem and books are trying to get the bets lined up money wise.

I mean, it's Shaka so ain't going anywhere near that spread.  But if you had told me a few months ago we'd be basically a push with the Tar Heels in a game in the state of North Carolina, I'd have thought you insane.  Then again, crowd ain't gonna be a factor.  But still.  Last year's Tar Heel shitshow aside, this is still a very talented UNC roster.  Not 2017 good, but damn good.  Going back in the mind's eye to when this field was announced, that we're playing for 1st or 2nd place is mind-bottling.

A UNC win always looks good on a resume. A win over UNC has kept us on the good side of the bubble a few of those years

I watched some of that Stanford game yesterday.

They out-rebounded Stanford by 20 but they turned it over 24 times.  That's fucking awful.  Their FT shooting sucked too.

It was close because they turned it over and couldn't hit FT.

So we're basically playing ourselves this evening?

Not that it means shit, but Indiana handled Stanford much easier than UNC did.

Dipped out of work and made it to the bar with 5 minutes to spare.

If Texas should beat NC, you can almost guarantee that NC will the National Championship.

How we feelin' about HORNS BB today folks??  🤘

How the fuck is that not a foul? Shut up, Walton.

Well we are playing UNC

What the fuck was that tip-off toss? He basically threw it to the NC side.

Why is there a giant steaming sack of shit on the court?  Oh wait, never mind, it's just Ted Valentine.
